Alone in the Dark for PlayStation 3 May Have Additional Content

Unlike it's PS2, Xbox 360, and Wii cousins, the PlayStation 3 version of Alone in the Dark will be coming out in Fall 2008. Eden Studios wanted to adapt it instead of just porting it. They say that additional content may come to the PlayStation 3 version (due to it's later release). A demo will come close to the game's release. Good to see they are not just throwing together a crappy port. Go Eden!

What do you expect? It's our boy Phil Harrison helping out Sony now that he is the President of the company footing the bill for this game.

He did say that he will continue to support Playstation brand even after he left.

I really got to hand it to Phil because with out him over at Infogrames this would most likely not happen. So I think Phil over at another company can only be a good thing for PS Fans because He will take his love for the Playstation systems with him.

Plus with him working over there He might even be able to push for games to start being built on the PS3 first then ported to the 360.

Here's a thought: Phil goes over to Infogrames/Atari to see how their business model works then a few months later we'll hear about Sony buying up Infogrames/Atari and Phil is back with us again!

Leave me alone, I can dream.

With Phil over there this recent announcement has his name all over it. If not it's awfully coincidental.

I agree with both of you two, the minute I read this article Phil came to mind.

I know many posted on forums online that he left because of some "bitterness" or something with others in Sony, but I don't think that is really the chunk of why he did it or even a part of it. Not to mention no one has any real solid evidence to support their claims.

Many were concerned that he wouldn't do anything to help push for Playstation in his new position, but seeing how Phil has devoted years of his life to the brand, it's natural he'd probably feel an affinity with it, and contribute any way he can.

As for PS3 being Lead? I have a feeling in the future it will happen. I also think that Sony most likely realized the advantage (albeit losing a long term exec of theirs isn't exactly a good thing) that he could push for more support.

Hopefully we'll see some Home content as well from Alone in the Dark.
