Warhawk v1.3 Danger Zone Glitch

It seems the latest update for Warhawk (version 1.3) features a little glitch using the new Bio-Field Generator and Wrench added in the update. The glitch uses both the items to keep a plane alive in the danger zone while going over a wall you aren't supposed to. Take a look for yourself.

Warhawk: Operation Broken Mirror Detailed, Screenshots

The next Warhawk expansion will be called Operation Broken Mirror. It should hit the European PlayStation Store sometime next month (April 2008). It should be coming after the v1.3 patch releasing on April 2, 2008.

The new expansion comes with a new level, known as Vaporfield Galcier, and the Armored Personnel Carrier. The APC comes in two different forms and looks different for the Eucadian and Chernovan classes. Up to six players can ride in one, and a speed-boost feature will allow it to better enter enemy territory. The APC can also generate a force field to protect your troops.

Operation Broken Mirror will be priced at £3.99 in the UK, and we've yet to receive a price on the US dollars. For now, enjoy the screenshots. [PS3Fanboy]

Warhawk Patch 1.4 to Feature New Game Modes

Dylan Jobe just keeps revealing more through PlayStation.Blog comments. A Warhawk player commented on when they will see new game modes and Jobe responded.

"So while I can’t say too much, I can say that the team is hard at work on developing some new game modes.

We have a lot of new designs at various phases of development so I can’t say which ones will make the cut for the v 1.4 patch just yet…but rest assure that the next patch *will* have new modes, and of course, they will be free."

Hmm, new modes. I wonder what they can be? Perhaps something completely different from game modes we'd expect. Lets hope they are innovative.

Warhawk Developer Working on New Game

They are called game developers because they develop games. Warhawk has been developed, so whats next for it's creator, Dylan Jobe? On the PlayStation.Blog, he mentioned a new game he is developing. "Begin development on a new game... *Check*". When we find out what this game is, we will be sure to keep you updated.

Warhawk: Leaked APC Footage from GDC 2008

Some footage from the Game Developers Conference 2008 of Warhawk seems to accidently feature the rumored Armored Personal Carrier. The carrier can be seen at around 1:11. Enjoy!

Warhawk: Armored Personnel Carrier on the Way?

A new vehicle for Incognito & Sony's Warhawk appeared on PS3Forums today. There is no background to wear this image appeared, besides it being called the Armored Personnel Carrier, but it showcases a new vehicle.

Our guess is that it is one of the new vehicles coming in the Operation Broken Mirror downloadable content pack. When we find out more, we will update you.

Warhawk & It's Home Features

Yes, here is the last one. Resistance & Uncharted are getting great Home features, and so is Warhawk.

According to the sources, the Home lobby for Warhawk will serve as a "war room" where up to eight players can meet up, then discuss strategy for their upcoming match. Whats so special about this? You'll be able to use a table with a map where players are able to place little army men around the map and plan their strategies.

My thoughts, although Warhawk's features for Home sound great, I usually just fly around killing a bunch of guys anyway.

GDC 2008: More Warhawk DLC on the Way

Warhawk is one of the best multiplayer games on the PLAYSTATION 3 right now in my opinion (and I'm sure thousands of others). Dylan Jobe, the game director, told us today the game will continue to be supported through a number of downloadable expansions and those aren't the last we will see of the franchise.

Operation Broken Mirror is one of these new downloadable expansions confirmed for a future release. It will contain a new vehicle (an APC that acts as a portable spawn point and equipment producer) and of couse, a new map.

They are also working on new game modes, but these will be released for free via game updates and patches.

Jobe plans to go beyond the content we've heard of. "As long as the community exists and as long as there is an appetite for playing the game and new content, that's good for us and we want to try to do split deliveries -- you can always get free stuff and you always have to option to buy certain content," said Jobe. They will support the game as long as players are willing to play the game.

Regarding single-player, which was dropped from the game, Jobe stated that they were against it, and if we see it, it will be part of a new product. They are interested in taking Warhawk beyond the current PLAYSTATION 3 title, saying that "if there is an opportunity that presents itself for us to further the franchise then we'll definitely take advantage of it."

Who knows, what if Warhawk 2 is already in the works?

Warhawk v1.3 Patch Features Revealed

Dylan Jobe finally spilled the beans on the upcoming v1.3 update for Warhawk. First off, we are going to get some new troop equipment. One is the Mechanic's Field Wrench which lets you repair vehicles. Another is the Bio-Field Generator, which regenarates health for teammates, and damages enemies.

Next up is Home Inegration. Players can now form groups, meet up, dicsuss game tactics, then launch a game of Warhawk together. So once Home arrives, you'll be able to do it right away. This also hints that the release isn't far off. There is more to come for Warhawk's Home integration, but they can't show it all now.

Players now have a choice for a PTT VOIP and an Open-Mic. This is one of my favorite new features, because it was really annoying pushing in L3 to talk. Players speaking now appear on the right side of the screen as well with the talk icon next to their name.

Finally, there are some new paint schemes and insignias, which you can view at the link. They are looking good, so I really suggest checking everything out at the link below.
