Hideo Kojima: 50GB Blu-Ray Not Enough for Metal Gear Solid 4

In an exclusive interview with Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear series, he complained that the size of the 50GB Blu-Ray discs were not enough for Metal Gear Solid 4. The producers of the title considered the disc to small and they had to compress some parts of the game in order to keep it on one disc.

Kojima : I am not satisfied with the quality yet, however... there isn't enough space.

Interviewer: Not enough space.. on.. Blu-ray?

Kojima: Yes. (laughs) Not enough space.
At least we know it will never be considered for another console release.

they should have used the TDK 120 gb blu-ray discs.

but now that he's saying that, it means they're prolly producing the discs now.

Two discs wouldn't have been horrible by any means. I'd play a game with two discs. Knowing that the game was so big and so good that not even the mighty Blu-ray could hold it should be a direct testament to just how game is there to be had.

And like you said, there's NO WAY this game is coming to the 360. The game would have be burned onto at least 11 discs (rough calculation of 50GB divided by 4.7)
