IGN: DiRT Reviews an 8.4 out of 10

IGN US reviewed Collin McRae DiRT today and gave it a very good grade. An 8.4 out of 10! Here are their closing comments:

"DiRT is one of the coolest racing games I have ever laid my hands on. When you can count every leaf on every piece of brush across a three mile track, that's a major graphical accomplishment. If only every aspect of DiRT matched the graphics and presentation, Codemasters would have a must-buy racer on its hands. DiRT still hasn't fixed Colin McRae's longtime use of a central pivot for turning and the racing feels floaty at times. DiRT isn't quite as good as some previous installments in the Colin McRae racing series, but it's certainly a worthy addition to the library."
They also stated:
"Graphics smoother than 360 version."

The Kid That Saved His Dad Receives a PlayStation 3 from Sony

You may of heard or remember the story about 9-year-old, Matty Lovo, whom saved his father, Matt Lovo, who passed out behind the wheel of his tractor-trailer. Carrying more than 100,000 pounds of weight behind him, young Matty took control of the big rig and called for help via C.B. radio despite never having been behind the wheel of a car.

Now, he can take control of a SIXAXIS and save the day virtually this time on his brand new PS3. Sony rewarded Matty with a system and some games for his quick effort, which saved him, his father and others who could’ve been seriously injured. Sony presented Matty with the gift at KGW, the local news channel of Oregon and Southwest Washington.

"We've seen this topic talked about as far away as the UK and all over the U.S. People like the story a lot,"
Matt Lovo Sr. said in the KGW article.

The reach of this topic was spurred by Gaming Target, which brought the original story to light on August 10, 2007, the day after a CNN interview with Matty revealed that if he could have anything as a reward, he'd like a PlayStation 3.

Metal Gear Solid 5: What It Would Be Like

Some people say they want a Metal Gear Solid 5, but take a look at Snake's age in Metal Gear Solid 4. If we had a Metal Gear Solid 5, we'd end up with the comic above. Just a funny thing I found on the PS3Forums. Enjoy.

Alone In The Dark PlayStation 3 Really NOT Delayed

PlayStation 3 gamers, let out a sigh of releif. Atari has revealed to EuroGamer that the PlayStation 3 version of Alone in the Dark will NOT be delayed after all. It will be launched simultaneously with the PC and Xbox 360 versions.

Atari says it was all just a misunderstanding, that instance when a spokesperson said that the Xbox 360 and PC versions will go on ahead to the market without the PlayStation 3 version.

Now we just need some news saying The Orange Box was a misunderstanding, right?

Burnout Paradise: Exclusive PS3 Feature

The camera support in the game has been tweaked a bit to offer more functionality. Whereas the game would initially use the PlayStation Eye or Xbox Live Vision camera to snap a victory pic when you'd take a player out, the support has been beefed up to include taking a picture of you for your in game license. As you progress through the game you'll be able to take new ones to reflect your growing prowess, or ego. Another unique feature discussed was unique to the PlayStation 3 version of the game is the EZ Drive feature which lets you hop online with three quick presses of the d-pad.
