Fan-Made PLAYSTATION 3 Commercial Focuses on 2008 Exclusives

Dark Matt3r of GameTrailers has made his own PLAYSTATION 3 commercial focusing on future exclusive titles such as Final Fantasy XIII and Killzone 2. The commercial was very well made, give it a watch.

The Orange Box Has Framerate Problems on the PLAYSTATION 3

"Get used to still images like these. The framerate often grinds to a halt during the vehicular portions of the Half-Life games."

1UP has had some time with the final version Valve Software and EA's The Orange Box for PLAYSTATION 3. As you know, this game was already released on other consoles direct from Valve Software, but they handed off the PLAYSTATION 3 port to EA (the company that gives PLAYSTATION 3 games bad framerates). In 1UP's preview, they write about Half-Life 2:

"It's apparent that this version suffers from a number of technical flaws, which at best merely hinder game play and at worst make the experience downright unplayable. Framerate is a consistent issue throughout the Half-Life series of games included in The Orange Box. One moment you'll be cruising through the game at 30 frames per second and the next you'll be enjoying a slideshow of series protagonist Gordon Freeman cruising down the river."
Luckily enough though, Portal suffers from no technical or framerate issues whatsoever, and Team Fortress 2 they are unsure of as the servers weren't connecting when they tried to play it.

Lets just hope for our sake, EA patches this up before it's December release.

Fatal Inertia Better on the PLAYSTATION 3

KOEI has told Eurogamer that the upcoming futuristic racer (already released on 360) Fatal Inertia will be a better on the PLAYSTATION 3 than it was on the Xbox 360.

The company is spending more time on it after the Xbox 360 version failed to ignite critical fuses when it was released in September. According to a spokesperson for the publisher, they're polishing up technical areas and putting together a more enticing demo than Live customers were treated to.

New content is a possibility, too, although nothing concrete is known at this point.

Virtua Fighter 5 Version D Announced

Virtua Fighter 5 Version D was announced today. Before we start, there is no word on whether it's coming to the PLAYSTATION 3 or Xbox 360.

Aside from the new items, item-based animations, and costumes, Version D introduces Knockout Trial 2 (a single player mode) and Virtua Fighter 5 Official Open Battle.

Open Battle is a way of organizing a tournament at a local arcade with no special entry requirements, nor the need of any official staff. You accumulate points with each match you win, and the player with the highest amount of points at the end of the tournament period is the winner. You can win "official points" this way, which can be used in the shop to buy stuff.

Even though it was announced that HAZE may be coming out next year, the official PLAYSTATION website still lists the release in the upcoming games as December 4, 2007. Could HAZE still see the light of the year 2007? Or is it still delayed?
