CES 2008: Soul Calibur IV: Darth Vader to PS3, Yoda to X360

The recently announced Star Wars characters that will be available in the upcoming Soul Calibur IV Namco Bandai title come with a catch. It seems they are color coding the characters to consoles, because the PLAYSTATION 3 is receiving Darth Vader (black) and the Xbox 360 is receiving Yoda (green).

Yes, that means no battling with Yoda versus Darth Vader unless Namco Bandai releases the missing characters as downloadable content.

Metal Gear Solid 4 Includes Metal Gear Solid Online

From a new interview at the Consumer Electronics Show 2008 at the booth where Metal Gear Solid 4 can be played by a lucky few, it has been confirmed that Metal Gear Online will be included with Metal Gear Solid 4. The catch is that it is a starter pack.

They haven’t yet said anything about how many maps there will be in the included starter pack, but “there will be an element of the online component within Metal Gear 4, to capture that online experience.”

Does this mean that Metal Gear Online will also be able to be purchased seperately, and Metal Gear Solid 4 owners get but a taste of it? I guess we will find out as the time passes.

Final Fantasy XIII: PSW Scans Reveal Little Information

The latest issue of PSW contains a list of 50 of the most anticipated games of 2008, with games like Final Fantasy XIII coming in at number 9. Sadly, there was no mention of Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

The article doesn't really give us much new inforamtion except for one small paragraph.
"Cocoon's government is using crystals with the power to change man's destiny to force those on Pulse to work against their will. In turn, the citizens of Pulse are rebelling. Their force is lead by the only confirmed character so far who goes by the codename "Lightning". Apparently the player won't know if he's on Lightning's side or not until a certain point in the game."
Seems that the protagonist female, Lightning, will be leading a rebel faction against the government, and you wont know if she's doing the "right" thing until later on in the game. I guess we will find out as the time passes on.

SIXAXIS Trigger Modification Equals Easier Pushing

The December 2007 issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine of the United Kingdom were giving away real triggers for your SIXAXIS/DUALSHOCK 3 controller from Gioteck. “Non-Slip Trigger Enhancement for the PS3″, is the catch phrase written on the tiny package.

The triggers are shaped as a trigger should be, with the indent in the middle, rather than at the bottom, meaning it's easier to use. A tester of these on Killzone Unit says they work very well.

Currently, these aren't available for purchase, but keep your eye on Gioteck for their availability.
