GAME: Excited for 40GB PLAYSTATION 3

It seems that the UK Gamers are getting excited for Sony's new low-end PLAYSTATION 3 40GB model coming soon:

"We feel that this is a very positive move from Sony. The price reduction will make it easier for even more customers to enjoy the incredible gaming experience you get with a PS3," said GAME Commercial Director Tricia Brennan. "There are more games consoles available than ever before, and today's price cut means they all represent amazing value for money when you consider the incredible technology and sheer volume of entertainment that they offer."
Hey, a game store that likes the PLAYSTATION 3, thats a good sign. Too bad there is no GAME Stores in the US.

How Long Is the PLAYSTATION 3 Orange Box Delayed?

GameStop has released a new flyer on their website for Valve's upcoming The Orange Box. The flyer states that on October 9, 2007, The Orange Box will be released for the PC and Xbox 360. There is however no mention of the PLAYSTATION 3 version of the game. Even though it is delayed, it should have some mention in there.

Now, Valve stated that the PLAYSTATION 3 release of the game is only 2-3 weeks after the release of the PC and Xbox 360's. Checking on GameStop and IGN under the PLAYSTATION 3's The Orange Box, the release date says December 11, 2007.

Now, I'm not that good at math, but 2-3 weeks from October 9, 2007 is at maximum October 30, 2007. Here is a quote from the development team themselves:

“We weren’t going to hold up PC and 360 for PS3, so this will be released about two or three weeks later.”
Hmm, I really don't know whats going on. Too many delays for the PLAYSTATION 3 if you ask me.

SKATE Framerate Petition Starts at EA Forums

A petition over at EA forums has been started for EA to resolve the terrible framerate issues that plague 'SKATE' on the PLAYSTATION 3.

EA in an effort to use the PS3's extra power decided to up the graphics for the PS3 version, however there plan backfired as the framerate issues actually make the game unenjoyable, and at times unplayable.

If you own SKATE and want to get things fixed, head over to the forums and give it a sign, you never know if your going to sign on one day to see an update available.
