Resistance 2 Debut Trailer

GameTrailers TV seems to have made the Resistance 2 trailer live before the show even began. You can view Insomniac's newest title above. We will tell you something, the trailer really does tease the living crap out of us. We want more! But wait, whats this? The first gameplay footage is to arrive on June 13, 2008 (which happens to be a Friday), meaning we have to wait another two months till we see more. Why must you tease Insomniac?

Update: It was just pulled for some reason, possibly an accidental posting? For those who need some insight on the trailer, (SPOILER) it showed Nathan Hale coming out of a door saying he had 19 hours to live, and outside was the ocean and in the sky it displayed chimera ships and invasion.

Update #2: Thanks to Commenter #2, you can watch the trailer here till GameTrailers reposts the high-definition version.

Update #3: Hey look, it is back.

Grand Theft Auto IV Site Update 4.11.08

Rockstar gave Grand Theft Auto IV's official website a massive update today, adding new screenshots, new sections, new interactive flash objects, and added the multiplayer section. The new interactive sections can be accessed through the links below.
They've also added the Multiplayer Section. The multiplayer section reveals only a bit of the multiplayer, keeping the Cooperative and Competitive modes a secret. Under Team modes although, we have Team Deathmatch, Team Mafiya Work, Team Car Jack City, Cops n' Crooks, and Turf War. Under the Race section, there is Race and GTA Race. Below for the descriptions.
Team Mafiya Work: (2 to 8 teams) You're a member of a crew doing contract work for the mafiya—including such plum gigs as escorting wanted men, picking up MacGuffins and stealing cars. Work as a team to complete contracts before the time period ends and get the rewards. You'll probably want to do your best to scupper the other crew's work as well. Each contract you complete gives your team cash, and the crew with the most cash at the end of the round wins.

Team Car Jack City: (2 - 8 teams) Cars spawn parked around the map and the teams must steal then and take them to a drop off point. Teh cash teams get for dropping of stolen vehicles depends on their condition—teams get less cash the more damaged they are. The exception to this are special bonus cars, stuffed with drugs, which five a set amount of cash on delivery no matter how damaged they are. Your crew has to get hold of whatever vehicles the boss wants. Whichever crew makes the most money wins. Simple.

Turf War:
(2 teams only) A timed capture-the-base mode. There are a number of bases around the map that you have to take by stand on on them for a short period of time. The more players that are on a base, the faster it can be captures. The more bases that your team owns, the faster your team's cash score increases. If the rival gang is on or near a base, you won't be be able to take control of it—so do what you can to try and... displace them. The team with the most cash at the end of the round wins.

Race: Race to the finish through each checkpoint in order. If you take a wrong turn or mess up in some way, you can respawn your vehicle on the last checkpoint you passed. There is a large selection of races for cars, boats , and helicopters—you can choose laps and vehicle class/type. This mode has two sub-modes: Free Race and Cannonball Run.

GTA Race: Similar to the orthodox Race, but with the added element of combat. Race and fight your way through the checkpoints in order and then hit the finish, but this time you can also pick up the weapons spawned en route to help take out your opponents. You can also exit the vehicle during the road races.

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH announced Metal Gear Online Premiere Beta for Kojima Productions' online epic

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced its plans for a public beta program across Europe for its forthcoming Metal Gear Online title for PLAYSTATION®3. Konami will release Metal Gear Online Premiere Beta via the PlayStation Store from April 17th, with online tests running from April 21st through May 6th. An all-new Metal Gear title specifically designed as a multi-player online experience, Metal Gear Online will be released worldwide as part of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots on June 12th.

The beta program will offer players a unique chance to sample the innovative multi-player experience of Metal Gear Online, which emphasizes cooperative team-based play. Those downloading the beta will be invited to explore two maps – “Blood Bath” and “Groznyi Grad” – each of which requires unique strategies in order to achieve victory.

Metal Gear Online will launch as part of Guns of the Patriots in June as a Starter Pack, comprising five unique stages: “Ambush Alley,” where trenches and sandbags litter an arena built for close and medium range combat; “Blood Bath,” a two-tier battle setting; and “Groznyi Grad,” the expansive Shagohod development complex from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater which features human catapults that propel players to different areas of the environment. Rounding out the five stage set are the dusty, Middle Eastern alleyways found in Guns of the Patriots entitled “Midtown Maelstrom,” and the rooftop settings of “Urban Ultimatum.” Konami is committed to the release of additional Expansion Packs to be released throughout the year.

Up to 16 people can play simultaneously, with game worlds created using Guns of the Patriots’s incredible 3D engine. Retaining the classic stealth combat gameplay of the Metal Gear series, players are dropped in a series of war zones wherein different challenges await. Five game modes await players on stages that span the globe and the history of MGS: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture and Base and Sneaking missions. Additional information on Metal Gear Online and the beta program can be found at www.konami-mgo.com.
