At the CES 2008 show last month, T3 came across a juicy piece of gossip. It seeems that an insider has told that an all new PLAYSTATION 3 that is slimmer, lighter in weight, and sexier.
Is this beleivable? Why not, Sony has made two vesrions of a slim PS2, and has recently released the slim PSP. The PLAYSTATION 3 is bound to be slimmed any day now.
All the rumors of the 120-160GB PLAYSTATION 3 seem to fit this. There are "pictures" of the slim PLAYSTATION 3 at the link. Although these pictures are just T3's vision of the slim PLAYSTATION 3.

CES 2008: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: The First Details
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was one of the titles on showcase at the LucasArts booth at CES 2008. "Every time you hit that face button, we want you to feel that power," a LucasArts employee tells the guys over at Opposable Thumbs.
You could yank up the Startroopers using the force and both the 'Trooper and the crate fly into the air. The force powers and the physics get even crazier; if you force push a metal door, it twists and deforms realistically." Some other features are listed below.
- The main character, the secret apprentice of Darth Vader, is played by Sam Witwer, BattleStar Galactica's Crashdown
- He holds his lightsaber behind his back in a way that looks very unorthodox but pleasingly menacing, and also allows players to see the entire lightsaber since the camera is always behind the player.
- Boss bottles will be huge in scope, including a Rancor fight. There will be God of War-like button-tapping sections at the end of the battle, but it will only be for more points; you won't lose a battle by missing a button press
- There will be character and lightsaber customization, although you won't be able to dual-wield or have dual-bladed lightsabers
- The Wii version of the game will include a two-player duel mode where you can show off your lightsaber skills against a friend in the same room.
- The PSP version will contain classic scenes from other Star Wars movies with the more over-the-top force powers of Unleashed

CES 2008: Metal Gear Solid 4 In Bug Testing Phase
Today's Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots news is for those who worry for another delay. Worry no longer, because Kojima doesn't want to make fans wait any longer.
In the recent Kojima Report Podcast, he confirmed that there will be no further delay for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
Ryan Payton spoke as well, saying there is no set release date for the game, but it's definately focusing on Q2 of 2008. Ryan even says that Kojima was embarrased the game had to slip into 2008.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is also nearly complete as well. You can play the game from start to finish as Payton says the game is “on the eve of the bug checking phase”.
No more worries, k?

CES 2008: Soul Calibur IV: Darth Vader to PS3, Yoda to X360
The recently announced Star Wars characters that will be available in the upcoming Soul Calibur IV Namco Bandai title come with a catch. It seems they are color coding the characters to consoles, because the PLAYSTATION 3 is receiving Darth Vader (black) and the Xbox 360 is receiving Yoda (green).
Yes, that means no battling with Yoda versus Darth Vader unless Namco Bandai releases the missing characters as downloadable content.

Metal Gear Solid 4 Includes Metal Gear Solid Online
From a new interview at the Consumer Electronics Show 2008 at the booth where Metal Gear Solid 4 can be played by a lucky few, it has been confirmed that Metal Gear Online will be included with Metal Gear Solid 4. The catch is that it is a starter pack.
They haven’t yet said anything about how many maps there will be in the included starter pack, but “there will be an element of the online component within Metal Gear 4, to capture that online experience.”
Does this mean that Metal Gear Online will also be able to be purchased seperately, and Metal Gear Solid 4 owners get but a taste of it? I guess we will find out as the time passes.

CES 2008: Star Wars' Dark Vader & Yoda Playable In Soul Calibur IV
Spawn, Link, and Heihachi don't have nothing on this special guest appearance for the next Soul Calibur game. 1UP have announced that Darth Vader and Yoda are coming to Soul Calibur IV. The two Star Wars cast members are playable in the upcoming fighter. Yeah, it's weird, we know.
The feature says that its possible for more Star Wars characters to appear in the game, but only provides nothing but a fantasy roster. View screenshots of these two new fighters at the link.

CES 2008: Prototype Blackwatch Featurette
The developing team for Radical Entertainment's upcoming game, Prototype, explain that the story of this upcoming game is deeper than any other.
They explain Blackwatch, which is a secret government agency that deals with biological experiments. Soon, a viral outbreak occurs in New York, which mutates the player character.
If you cause more destruction, the army will just get tougher on you with heavier weapons, they won't run away.
The Blackwatch soliders are "a pretty terrifying bunch of people". They don't run, they stand their ground. They don't have any problems with taking extreme action to stop the player character.
Watch the video for more, around 4:12, tell me if it reminds you of that episode of Heroes where Peter and the Irish girl go into the future. Just curious to know. Enjoy the video!
