Tim Schafer Brutal Legend Interview
IGN AU: You've been thinking about the Brutal Legend concept since back in the Secret of Monkey Island days. Why has it taken this long to surface? And second, why is now the right time to do this?Read the full interview at the link below.
Tim Schafer: Well, I've thought about this for years, and I've always loved music. I've always loved heavy metal, ever since I first heard Iron Man [Black Sabbath], y'know, I've been this big metal fan, always thinking about this game in the back of my head. Years ago I met this roadie for Megadeth named Tony, and he just had all these great stories about the rock and roll lifestyle, but told from the frontlines point of view, from down in the trenches, as opposed to the rock star. But still, they get to see all this crazy fantasy world of rock but from a really 'getting it done' type perspective. So I thought the character was interesting, and that's where the character of Hoagie came from, for Day of the Tentacle.

Psychonauts Sequel Rumor Smashed
Earlier today, we posted a story about a rumored Psychonauts sequel, due to an image showing Raz from Psychonauts in the background on their projects page.
But alas, there is no Psychonauts 2 in production.
In an e-mail to Next-Gen, Schafer rained on everybody’s parade, explaining, “Man, who knew how much excitement a little darkness could bring? The truth is we are just putting together a new page about 'The Excellent Game Psychonauts.' We're not announcing any new games or anything. Sorry if we confused anybody! We lightened up the image to hopefully make things clearer.”
So as of now, we need to stick with our Coco Puffs before we get more Psycho Nauts.

Psychonauts 2 In Development?
The projects page on Double Fine's official website lists two projects. One, we know as Brutal Legends. Another, not yet announced, we clearly see Raz from Psychonauts behind the words "Coming Soon".
The first Psychonauts was a great game for the PLAYSTATION 2 and XBOX and PC that received an average of 8.5's in all of their reviews.

Brütal Legend is a wild rock-and-roll fantasy epic where heavy metal means "heavy" and "metal" in every way possible. The game features Jack Black in the roll of roadie Eddie Riggs. The game is coming to the PLAYSTATION 3 and Xbox 360. Enjoy the scans.
