Guitar Hero: Aerosmith: Boxart, Bundle, and Guitar Revealed

Activision and RedOctane has revealed today the boxart and bundle art for the upcoming Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. The bundle will cost $99.99 and come with an Aerosmith titled guitar. The game will feature mainly songs by Aerosmith along with some of his favorite bands such as The Clash, Cheap Trick, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts and more. Def Leppard Releasing New Single from Guitar Hero III DLC

Def Leppard has announced that they will be releasing three songs as Guitar Hero III downloadable content, once song being a debut new single. "Three of our songs will be available as downloadable content for Guitar Hero III," they stated.

The three song pack will be available for download on April 24, 2008 in the United States for Guitar Hero III and on May 8, 2008 in the United Kingdom. The pack contains the band's new single "Nine Lives", and the classics "Rock of Ages" and "Photograph". No word on pricing as of now.

Activision Announces Guitar Hero III Batteries

Activision announced today batteries for the Gibson Les Paul guitar controllers for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. Whats so special about these batteries is that they are rechargable by USB so you'll never have to buy new ones.

The batteries work with the PLAYSTATION 3, PS2, and Xbox 360 guitars and cost about $15.00 USD each. They are set to release in stores on February 29, 2008. Look out for them if you don't want to spend anymore money buying new batteries every week.

Guitar Hero III Gets Aerosmith Song for Limited Time

Guitar Hero III: Three New DLC Tracks on the Way

New tracks for RedOctane's Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock has surfaced on the leaderboards over at GuitarHero.com, which pretty much states they are on their weay.

The three new songs featured on the leaderboards are Journey's "Any Way You Want It", Foreigner with "Jukebox Hero", and Boston's classic "Peace of Mind". You can probably expect this update next Thursday.

- Sony teaming up with a major Japanese publisher to remake old games for PLAYSTATION Network.
- Persona 3: FES coming stateside, Next Shin Megami Tensei title is on the PLAYSTATION 3.
- Sin City game released in 2009.

Activision has just announced a new downloadable pack for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. The Warner/Reprise Track Pack contains "No More Sorrow," by Linkin Park, "Sleeping Giant," by Mastadon and "Pretty Handsome Awkward," by The Used.

Single song downloads will be arriving as well with new songs "So Payaso," from Extremoduro, "Antisocial" from Trust, and "Ernten Was Wir Säen" from Die Fantastischen Vier.

Guitar Hero III: New Patch Now Live

A new patch for Activision and RedOctane's Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, just went live tonight. The update contains the following.

- Improve Online Quick Match results and reduce "Failed to Connect to Server" messages.
- Introduce calibration screen improvements, helping users with high lag AV systems, and Playstation 3 users with Dolby Digital enabled.
- Add the Co-Op Quickplay mode for Playstation 3 users.
- Enable the Hyperspeed cheat to work in online games.
- Include various stability improvements and fixes.

Nice update, now we just need to have Activision allow the Rock Band update, darn them!

Sony Neutral On Rock Band Patch Issue

Harmonix once said if the consumers demanded it, they will do it. Consumers demanded a patch for Rock Band to support Guitar Hero III's Les Paul PLAYSTATION 3 controllers, so they got to work. They submitted a patch to Sony Computer Entertainment America, but Activison objected to its release. Sony's stand?

"This is a matter that needs to be resolved between Harmonix/MTV and Activision regarding Intellectual Property," said a SCEA spokesperson to 1UP. "At SCEA, we of course want this resolved and to ensure the best possible gaming experience. We encourage MTV, Harmonix and Activision to discuss this among themselves so there can be an amicable resolution in the best interest of the consumer."

Hopefully, MTV and Harmonix will force to patch to a go-ahead, as this doesn't really give us much answers. Hopefully we will see the patch early 2008.

Guitar Hero III's Wireless Gibson Coming Early 2008

Activision announced today that they'd be rolling out the wireless Gibsons sans Guitar Hero III for all platforms early next year. So for your pals rocking the guitar in Rock Band, you'll soon be on equal foot with their guitars.

It would be nice to see the guitar in different shapes, colors, and variations as well.

Activision Reveals Guitar Hero III DLC Plans

Activision yesterday discussed their immediate plans for Guitar Hero III downloadable content. There will be three new download packs for Guitar Hero III on the PLAYSTATION 3 and Xbox 360's online stores coming this month (November). Each of those download packs contains three songs, meaning only nine new songs.

Hopefully, more will come as the time passes.

South Park: New Episode to Feature Guitar Hero

South Park always does video game related episodes. Whether its the Wii or the World of Warcraft episode, they are always funny.

Titled "Guitar Queer-o," this new episode will center on Guitar Hero. According to the episode synopsis, "Stan and Kyle are hooked on Guitar Hero. But Stan's superior skills on the video game damage his friendship with Kyle."
