Lost Planet Colonies Not Coming to PlayStation 3, Slap in the Face

A while back, Capcom announced at their Gamer's Day that they are bringing Lost Planet: Extreme Condition to the PlayStation 3, as an apology for moving development of Monster Hunter 3 off the PlayStation 3 and to the Nintendo Wii. The game, which was released last month, contained all the additional content as well as some new content.

Now, Capcom has slapped PlayStation 3 owners in the face. They've announced Lost Planet: Extreme Condition Colonies Edition. This contains multiplayer cross-play with the PC, along with new game modes and more such as Score Attack, Trial Battle Mode, and Off Limit Mode.

The addition content from the PlayStation 3 port of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition such as Luka, Frank West, Mega Man, and all the downloadable maps will be in Colonies as well.

New multiplayer modes will be present as well such as Akrid Hunter VS Annihlaator, CounterGrab, Point Snatcher, Akrid Egg Battle, and Egg Bandit. Four new multiplayer maps named Crossfire City, Area 921, Lost Arenan, and Assault Space will be available as well. New character models such as two new females, two new robots, and five other models have been added as well. A bunch of new weapons alongside those features. The game is launching at $29.95.

The catch is, that it's only coming to the Xbox 360 and PC. Please, tell me that isn't the biggest slap in the face that you've ever read to PlayStation 3 owners. For those who don't know, they released the (really bad, half-assed) PlayStation 3 version as an apology at a "budget price" of $40 last month with less content than this new edition.

Didn't Crapcom say that they were done with exclusives?

Lies. I'm glad I don't buy their games anymore, they don't deserve my cash.

Given how awful the original was, its probably a good thing.

Anyway we can riot Capcom?
How 'bout Namco Bandai too?

All the PS systems old supporters seem to be giving away with the PS3. Namco is releasing Tales of Vesperia only for 360 with a PS3 version being a 'possibility'. Capcom keeps dissing the PS3 over and over. Valve hates the PS3 straight up and if 'our demands are high' they will have the 'great comapany, EA UK' port it for us.

So gay.

I guess if I cared about Lost Planet it would bother me, but I dont.

Capcom might have some issues but I'm still buying SF4.

I'm with "nyghtcrawler", Lost Planet is pretty much a dud in my book. The action is way too slow and overall the world doesn't seem that exciting to me.

Definitely not a triple-A title in my humble opinion.

As for Capcom, other than SFIV I don't really care about anything else they have coming out. DMC4 was...meh, it wasn't the super hit it was pegged to be. I'm kind of glad it came out on both systems that way it wouldn't be yet another PS3 dud like (according to the critics) that Heavenly Sword and Lair turned out to be.
