Dynasty Warriors 6: PLAYSTATION 3 vs. Xbox 360

A GameTrailers comparison for KOEI's upcoming Dynasty Warriors 6 was released today. Although the PLAYSTATION 3 version does look a bit bad compared to the Xbox 360 version, you must remember GT has been known not to set their settings right on the PLAYSTATION 3.

Fatal Inertia Better on the PLAYSTATION 3

KOEI has told Eurogamer that the upcoming futuristic racer (already released on 360) Fatal Inertia will be a better on the PLAYSTATION 3 than it was on the Xbox 360.

The company is spending more time on it after the Xbox 360 version failed to ignite critical fuses when it was released in September. According to a spokesperson for the publisher, they're polishing up technical areas and putting together a more enticing demo than Live customers were treated to.

New content is a possibility, too, although nothing concrete is known at this point.

Fatal Inertia Coming to PLAYSTATION 3 Spring 2008

Koei recently issued an updated release schedule to the media, with Fatal Inertia conspicuously absent from the list. When asked, the publisher said there was no formal release date for the futuristic racer, but they expected the PLAYSTATION 3 version to arrive sometime in Spring 2008.

There's no word on if the PLAYSTATION 3 version will include additional content, but given the delays have been technical issues, 1UP wouldn't rule it out.

Dynasty Warriors 6: Profit from PLAYSTATION 3 Version

Here is another way to get the PLAYSTATION 3 fanboys to gloat (just not here, please). Dynasty Warriors 6 is selling like hotcakes in Japan (I've never seen anyone sell hotcakes), number 2 on the top 10 chart for this week.

The PLAYSTATION 3 version has sold 188,000 copies while the Xbox 360 version, currently number 5 on the top 10, has sold a mere 22,000 copies.

On a side note, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is number 10 on the top 10 with 12,000 copies sold this week.

PLAYSTATION 3 40GB Releasing in Japan with Dynasty Warriors 6

On November 11, 2007, the Japan 40GB PLAYSTATION 3 will be getting a friend to go alongside it. The new 40GB white PLAYSTATION 3 is getting bundled with Dynasty Warriors 6 and a white DUALSHOCK 3 controller, along with a bunch of extras, for just under 50,000 yen.

There are many extras to enjoy in this PLAYSTATION 3 package, going from nine metallic tags featuring some of the most popular officers, to giant stickers, to a book featuring images of the characters and maps.

KOEI Confirms PS3 Version Of Fatal Inertia For 2008 Release

KOEI has today confirmed that the PlayStation 3 version of Unreal Engine 3 title Fatal Inertia is still in development, with a '2008' release date anticipated.

Takazumi Tomoike confirmed that the action racing title, which has already debuted on the Xbox 360, is indeed still coming to the PlayStation 3, and also commented of the PS3 version: "We are going to use the SixAxis, and I think the controller is well-suited for the game."

Following up for further information, a Koei representative clarified a release date for the title, commenting: "Koei Canada is actively developing Fatal Inertia for PlayStation 3. We're anticipating a North American release in 2008."

Bladestorm Demo Coming to the PlayStation Network

KOEI, today announced the release of the playable demo for Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War. The playable demo will be available to download from Thursday October 4th, 2007 on both Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. The full release of this epic, real time strategy/action title will follow on November 2nd.

BladeStorm Bundle Invading Japan

August 30th is the date of the arrival of the anticipated PlayStation 3 titled, Bladestorm, in Japan. So to celebrate, they are releasing a BladeStorm bundle, or collector's edition or whatever you want to call it. The Bladestorm premium box contains a calendar, a CD with ten songs, a hardbound first battle guide and the game for 9.980 yen ($86).
