On April 17, 2008, the PlayStation Store will be receiving some cake. It's not a lie this time. The famous ending song of Portal, titled "Still Alive" by Jonathan Coulton will be arriving on April 17, 2008 for the low price of $0.00. Yeah, that means free.
We should of been receiving it this Thursday or tomorrow, but due to the "no updates" till April 17, 2008, we will have to wait.

The Orange Box DLC Eventually Coming to Consoles
If Valve/EA would ever release a patch for The Orange Box fixing all the issues, then maybe we would have use for this.
Doug Lombardi recently revealed that Valve is going to be bringing new maps to the console versions of Team Fortress 2 and Portal.
Lombardi wants all this new downloadable content to be free, just for us.
Just assuming, the first downloadable content for Team Fortress 2 will probably be the "Badlands" and "Goldrush" maps that are going to be available to PC gamers soon, along with the CTF-update of the "Well" map which was released a few days back.
To end it, Lombardi gave no details on any of the Portal downloadable content. We will just have to wait.

Portal Gets Rebuilt Lego Style
We all knew Portal was going to be a great game, but I don't think we've ever though it would get this much reception. Whether it was cake jokes, to companion cubes, to now Legos.
The crafty Lego makers over at Brickshelf constructed this concoction. Lego Portal. It doesn't get any better.... or does it.

Portal: PLAYSTATION 3 vs. Xbox 360
The Orange Box for the PLAYSTATION 3 releases today, so whats great to see is some comparisons. All I really noticed about Portal, which they say is near identical to the Xbox 360 counter-part, is that the loading times suck compared to the other version. Blame EA for that.

Wired Prepares Us: Portal
It's coming, and it's going to be messing with our minds until we beat the game. Thats torture. Luckily, Wired is giving us some tips on Valve's upcoming game, bundled with The Orange Box, called Portal. The game is basically, shot there, shot here, and bend the laws of physics. Here are the tips from Wired:
Thanks Jason Lee.How to Bend the Laws of Physics
1) Portal players get an Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device, which can create warp portals between any two flat surfaces.
1a) Fire at a wall, floor, or ceiling to create an entrance point.
1b) Fire where you'd like to end up to make an exit point.2) Some obstacles can be dodged only by creating portals.
2a) Blast an entry point in the ground.
2b) Create an exit point on the far wall. Drop through the hole in the ground and you'll emerge on the other side of the spike pit.3) The game poses conundrums, like how to get up to a platform that you can't jump high enough to reach. The solutions often rely on the fact that momentum is maintained when warping.
3a) Create an entry portal one level down.
3b) Bore an exit point on the floor next to you. Leap down into the entry portal. Even though you'll be moving in the opposite direction, when you reemerge your inertia will propel you all the way to the upper level.4) Take advantage of objects in the environment to neutralize gun emplacements and other dangers.
4a) Open an entry portal under a box.
4b) Put an exit portal above the gun. The falling box will gather enough speed to knock over the gun.
