SEGA has released three new videos of their upcoming RPG (already released in Japan), Valkyria Chronicles. The new trailers show two pieces of gameplay, along with one cinematic video. Enjoy!

Vyse the Bold and Aika from Skies of Arcadia Cameo in Valkyria Chronicles

The recently released in Japan title, Valkyria Chronicles (coming to the US this August 2008) features some familiar characters. Skies of Arcadia's Vyse the Bold and Aika appear in the game. They are playable as well, so expect to see them when this game hits our shores.

Valkyria Chronicles XMB Theme for Download

Valkyria Chronicles is releasing in Japan this week, and they are promoting it with some new XMB themes for the PlayStation 3. Head over to Valkyria Chronicle's Japanese website and hit "Download" then "Custom Theme" and get this baby. It looks pretty good.

Valkyria Chronicles to Have Optional Install

Looks like SEGA knows what they are doing with Valkyria Chronicles on the PlayStation 3. The game is going to feature an optional install, unlike Capcom did with their two PlayStation 3 games. THe optional install will take up 3.3GB of space and reduce load times significantly. Either that or you just need to wait 15 seconds for load times. I'll go with the 15 seconds.

Valkyria Chronicles Originally for Xbox 360 Only

According to a Japanese developer blog, SEGA's upcoming Valkyria Chronicles for the PlayStation 3 was originally an Xbox 360 exclusive. When the game was announced, SEGA switched development over to the PlayStation 3. The game has been in development for over three years according to SEGA, and it's platform was switched early in development. The reason of why development was switched to PlayStation 3 was not stated, but you can expect to see it this Fall 2008 exclusively for the console.

Valkyria Chronicles Heading to North America & Europe

Well, we have some more great news today. The game we knew as Valkyrie of the Battlefield: Gallian Chronicles is coming to North American and European shores this Fall exclusively for the PLAYSTATION 3 now known as Valkyria Chronicles.

The game tells the store of our hero Welkin and the members of the Federation's 7th Platoon as they struggle to tstop the evil Emprire from taking over a small neutral country. One more secured in the bag. The press release is below.

Valkyrie of the Battlefield: New Preview Video

A new preview video of the upcoming Valkyrie of the Battlefield from SEGA for the PLAYSTATION 3. This new Strategy RPG will direct a group of rebels ready to defend their country Gallia to repel the invasion. The game proposes a unique fighting system a turn called BLiTZ (Battle of Live Tactical Zones), partly based on the management of units on the map of the battlefield. The release of the game is scheduled for spring 2008 in Japan, no word on a US release date yet.
