Game Comparison's Being Mislead?

I came across this new video on TechBugTV today. It shows two different screen modes on the PLAYSTATION 3, one being Full RGB and the other being Limited. All PLAYSTATION 3's are set to limited apparently.

Sites like GameTrailers always show the PLAYSTATION 3 version of the game as washed out. This video claims its because they have their settings wrong, and the screen should be set to Full RGB with Super-White on. The difference in Assassin's Creed really does show.

I'd confirm this for you, but I'm on vacation as of now and visiting my father. So perhaps you guys could confirm this?

Unfortunately, this doesn't account for graphical glitches and the shoddy frame-rate.

Of course the main question is will GT actually alter their PS3 settings for future comparisons?

I've always found these comparisons fairly useless since we're looking at super low-res video. Also, there's no telling what settings the TV has.

Anyway, good job on the person that figured out that games can look better by adjusting the PS3.

I'll be sure to try it out.

And if you're reading this OnAdmin, I picked up "Warhawk" today. Although I can't boot it up until Christmas I'll be looking for you flying around...and then SHOOT YOU DOWN!!!! MWHAA-HAHA-HA-HAAAAAAA!!!!
