Resident Evil 5: Translated Famitsu Jun Takeuchi Interview

If you remember that Famitsu Resident Evil 5 interview a few weeks back, there is now a translated version up for viewing on the Capcom Blog. Resident Evil 5: Famitsu DVD Footage

The latest issue of Famitsu Magazine came with a DVD with two and a half minutes of Resident Evil 5. The footage is all in Japanese, so we have no idea what he is saying, but as he talks you can see him playing the game, so a bit of gameplay is revealed. Resident Evil 5 Footage Coming With Next Week's Famitsu

There has been rumors that the next issue of Famitsu will include a Capcom 25th Anniversary DVD. Capcom have confirmed those rumors on their newly launched 25th Anniversary website. According to website, The Horror Is Alive, the text in the Famitsu DVD image reads "Biohazard 5 Exclusive Footage + Interview". The next issue should hit shelves March 28, 2008, and just as Persona 4 footage did, the Resident Evil 5 footage will probably make its way online.

Capcom: Resident Evil 5 Is Amazing

Capcom today stated that when Resident Evil 5 finally comes, we are going to flip out, in a good way.

"Just being able to see Resident Evil 5 running, I'm like 'Oh my god!' Honestly, when we start showing more of that, when we start letting people go hands-on with that, people are going to flip out" said Capcom's Senior Director of Communications and Community, Chris Kramer, in an interview. He added "That game to me is super exciting."

He hinted at a 2008 release when he was asked what Capcom has planned for this year: "We have a really fantastic year ahead of us, a year that's going to include games like... Resident Evil 5...".

Could Resident Evil 5 be coming 2008? Let's hope so.

Resident Evil 5 Demo Coming January 2, 2008?

Hidden in an article on HighDefDigest about recently released movie, Resident Evil: Extinction, is some info about a possible Resident Evil 5 Demo for the online stores.

"Additional supplements shared with the standard-def DVD version of the film (which is debuting day-and-date with the Blu-ray) include an audio commentary with director Paul W.S. Anderson and producer Jeremy Bolt, four making-of featurettes, eleven deleted scenes, and two video game demos (for "Devil May Cry 4" and "Resident Evil 5")."

It is possible that they could mean trailers, but the article does say demos, so you never know, right?

Famitsu's Most Wanted 9/21 - 9/27

As usual, Famitsu's most wanted list is dominated with games for the PLAYSTATION 3 console. Games like Final Fantasy XIII and Resident Evil 5 are in the top five, while games like Devil May Cry 4, The Last Remnant, Versus XIII, and Gran Turismo 5 are in the top 15-20.

Resident Evil Portable: Capcom's Bomb?

In the latest issue of Italian magazine, PSMania 3.0, a rumor has surfaced about a Resident Evil Portable:

"Not too long ago, the Internet was a real popular petition that fans of Resident Evil have signed and sent to Capcom to know that Sony's users desperately need a Resident Evil for PSP. The request is not done in a vacuum, in fact a member of the house of Osaka has specifically requested that the signatures are at least 10,000 fans if we really want to attract the attention of developers!One suggestion that did best hope for many other fans Residen Evil, which have come immediately on the website of the petition bringing even more signatures."

Could a Resident Evil for PSP really be one of the three big bombs? We will wait and see.
