White Knight Story: New Famitsu Scans

The latest Famitsu japanese magazine features new scans of upcoming PLAYSTATION 3 exclusive, White Knight Story. The scans show the equipment, costumes, and such, being clearly visible on the screens. The game is set to release sometime in 2008, dubbed as White Knight Chronicles in the US.

Dark Matt3r of GameTrailers has made his own PLAYSTATION 3 commercial focusing on future exclusive titles such as Final Fantasy XIII and Killzone 2. The commercial was very well made, give it a watch.

Famitsu: White Knight Story Armor Scan

The latest issue of Famitsu reveals some new armor information on Level 5's upcoming PLAYSTATION 3 RPG, White Knight Story.

The change of equipment can be seen in the new scan from the Japanese magazine. The armors and clothing can be modified and will have a visual impact anytime but during the cinematics, where the heroes will sport their basic look.

This breath-taking RPG is planned for a 2008 release exclusively on the PLAYSTATION 3.

Famitsu: White Knight Story New Scans

Famitsu just loves Level 5's White Knight Story, with new scans just about every week. These newest scans show some bright colors, a screenshot of the battle system in progress, the main character and two other characters staring some little creature, and then a giant boss who looks a little too bandaged. White Knight Story: New Scan & Images

Sony Computer Entertainment has revealed some new images of White Knight Story for the PLAYSTATION 3, developed by Level 5.

This is Level 5's first PLAYSTATION 3 title. In this fantasy RPG, you take control of a boy who comes into the possession of an ancient artifact. The artifact gives him the ability to transform into the White Knight of the title, a 7-meter warrior from a time when such creatures nearly destroyed all of civilization.

White Knight Story: Site Update

The official web site for Level 5's upcoming PLAYSTATION 3 RPG, White Knight Story has had a major update. Here is a bullet list of the update.

• Many new pieces of concept art, including some airships, castles, and what we assume is a dungeon etched into the side of a mountain. New towns and such are shown, and they go into great detail it seems.
  
• Everything under the System menu is new. They have character creation details, unfortunately they are in Japanese, so we can't read (it is now touted that you can create female characters, too apparently), the battle/combo system is explained as well as your White Knight transformation ability.
• There seems to be some bad guys, one being the white-haired "Sephiroth" type badass, with the long robe (stereotyping). There is a girl with a purple frog pet thing, that holds a sword with his tongue, and he's ugly. Then there is a guy with his shirt open, and a half-human, half-bunny like creature. Then there is the picture of the White Knight, and some other knight.
  

Pretty nice update for those White Knight Story fans. Now lets fast forward time and the game will be out before we know it.

Game Informer: White Knight Story Q&A

Game Informer was able to do a Question and Answers on Level 5's upcoming PLAYSTATION 3 exclusive, White Knight Story:

"When Sony showed off White Knight Chronicles for the first time at TGS 2006, it was one of the biggest things that came out of the show. The developer for the recent Rogue Galaxy was cooking up a huge RPG for the new system, but little else was known about the game. At this year’s Tokyo Game Show, surprisingly, Level 5 allowed players to get their hands on it. We took some time to meet with Level 5 CEO/President Akihiro Hino and Senior Vice President Yoshiaki Kusuda to get a complete video walkthrough of the demo and find out more about how the game worked."

White Knight Story vs. The Last Remnant Comparison

The guys over at PSU were nice enough to compare two of the most anticipated role playing titles on PLAYSTATION 3: White Knight Story and The Last Remnant.

Games Radar: 25 Reason White Knight Story Is The RPG to Own

Games Radar wrote an article on why Level 5's upcoming White Knight Story will be the RPG to own come it's release. They start:

1) Let's get straight to the point: it's got seven-metre tall knights smacking the shit out of each other. That's taller than Shaq and about the same size as a Predator. We're sold already

2) Level-5's excellent RPG pedigree consists of Dark Cloud, Dark Chronicle (Dark Cloud 2 in the US), Dragon Quest VIII: The Journey of the Cursed King and Rogue Galaxy, as well as the Jeanne D'Arc on PSP. So it's bound to be good - we'd put money on it.

TGS 2007: Dark Cloud Character to Appear in White Knight Story

At the end of an interview that we did earlier today with Akihoro Hino, the President of Level-5 and Producer of White Knight Story, IGN asked him a perennially favorite fan question: will we ever see another Dark Cloud title? Hino laughed, noting that this was a subject that he'd often been asked by foreign press and while there was no current plans to work on a new title because the team was fully invested in working on White Knight Story.

However, he did mention that a familiar Dark Cloud character would be included in the game. He wasn't willing to divulge whether it was Toran, Yuris, Maximillian, or another one of the known characters, but he guaranteed that fans of the older title would enjoy the role that they played in the game. IGN will have an interview with Akihoro Hino next week, so we will give you the update when it comes.
