Alone In The Dark: Five New Screenshots, HUD Revealed

Atari has released five new screenshots of their upcoming Alone In The Dark, scheduled to hit the PlayStation 3 this Fall, possibly with extra content for that version of the game. The new screenshots look fantastic, and are truly getting me itching to play the game. Enjoy!

The more gameplay we see of Atari's Alone In the Dark, the sadder inside we get due to the fact that this is coming to the PlayStation 3 in the Fall while the other console versions are coming out much earlier. Alone in the Dark for PlayStation 3 May Have Additional Content

Unlike it's PS2, Xbox 360, and Wii cousins, the PlayStation 3 version of Alone in the Dark will be coming out in Fall 2008. Eden Studios wanted to adapt it instead of just porting it. They say that additional content may come to the PlayStation 3 version (due to it's later release). A demo will come close to the game's release. Good to see they are not just throwing together a crappy port. Go Eden!

Alone In The Dark: Real World Rules Episode 2

The second episode of Real World Rules for Atari & Eden Studios' upcoming Alone In The Dark has surfaced today. The video is a great watch, it shows how you can use flaming chairs to light your way, or using spray to heal yourself, spray into enemies eyes, or combine it with a lighter to make a powerful flamethrower. Alone In The Dark: PLAYSTATION 3 Clarification

This is just a little clarification. I've noticed on some forums on the internet and even in the comments of this site, many people thought that Alone In The Dark was canceled for the PLAYSTAITON 3. This was due to Todd Slepian saying in a new interview that it's coming out this Spring for the PS2, Wii, PC and Xbox 360.

Fear not my fellow readers, as the PLAYSTATION 3 version is not canceled. I've confirmed with Atari that the PLAYSTATION 3 version is not canceled, it is just set to come out later in the year. The versions of the game coming out in Spring are the PS2, Wii, PC, and Xbox 360 versions.

Alone In The Dark: Todd Slepian Interview

A new interview with Todd Slepiann, the North American Producer for the title, reveals some new information about Alone In The Dark. Edward Carnby stars in this game, which is the original hero of the first Alone In The Dark game. He wakes up around 80 years later and needs to find out what has happened to him.

Your health is physically displayed on your characters body, there is no health bar. You need to look for yourself to see if his arm is injured, or his leg.

Certain items you find can be combined that you find. Such as tap and toxic spray, you can combine the two. There is a variety of different combinations that are usable.

The game features episodes such as you would see in LOST, where each one leads to more character development. Alone In The Dark is set for release Spring 2008.

Atari's prepping up Alone In The Dark for the upcoming GDC 2008 by throwing out four more screenshots of the title at us. Test Drive Coming to PS3, Afrika "Non-Violent"

In Surfer Girl's latest post, she reveals some PLAYSTATION 3 related insider facts:

1) Eden Games is currently working on a new Test Drive title for a release late next year/early 2009 on PS3/360/PC, the game will use the open-world gameplay and online features seen in last year's Test Drive Unlimited.
2) Afrika is a "nonviolent game" with "positive social themes." Something certain to appease those who have always wanted to spell doom to fictional poachers without violence.
3) Three Wario games are in development.
4) Itadaki Street DS will see a release in the states sometime next year.

So we get a Test Drive and a nature animal game. I like the Test Drive, not the animals.

Alone In The Dark PlayStation 3 Really NOT Delayed

PlayStation 3 gamers, let out a sigh of releif. Atari has revealed to EuroGamer that the PlayStation 3 version of Alone in the Dark will NOT be delayed after all. It will be launched simultaneously with the PC and Xbox 360 versions.

Atari says it was all just a misunderstanding, that instance when a spokesperson said that the Xbox 360 and PC versions will go on ahead to the market without the PlayStation 3 version.

Now we just need some news saying The Orange Box was a misunderstanding, right?

Alone In The Dark PlayStation 3 Delayed

Alone In The Dark, a multiplatform title for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC has been delayed on the PlayStation 3.

The Xbox 360 and PC versions are still on schedule to arrive before the end of the publisher's fiscal year in March 2008. However, the PlayStation 3 version will follow later on a date yet to be announced.

Alone In The Dark: Atari Reveals Logo & Screens

Atari's latest game, Alone In The Dark, is coming to the next-generation consoles by December of this year. Today we reveal to you the logo along with some new screenshots. The screens are a bit confusing though.

The only thing we do know is that we'll be playing as a guy named Edward Camby who investigates strange events of cataclysmic proportions leading to Central Park. What evils (other than muggers) lurk inside the sprawling grounds? Let's all find out come the launch date. Enjoy the screens.
