Persona 4 Opening Is Awseome

Atlus always gets me with these Persona openings. The opening to Persona 3 was great, so why wouldn't the opening to Persona 4 be? Take a watch if you'd like to spoil it, and if you do, enjoy it.

Persona 4 Gets Official Japanese Boxart

Japan's upcoming Persona 4 has finally gotten itself some official boxart. The game is set to be released in Japan on July 10, 2008, meaning the US and EU releases will probably come later after that.

If you ask me the new boxart looks much better than the Persona 3 boxart, and it really draws me in to check the game out. Enjoy!

Electronic Gaming June 2008 Rumors and Grand Theft Auto IV Review

The latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly comes packed with content. They revealed a new Splatterhouse retro revival title for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, along with showing some other previously seen retro revivals due to hit consoles.

Their rumors column was interesting this month. Lets take a look.

- Bioshock to hit PlayStation 3 in September 2008 with better visuals and all the downloadable content, around the same time that they will reveal some of Bioshock 2.
- Max Payne 3, Red Dead Revolver 2, and a Grand Theft Auto MMO (possibly) in the works.
- L.A. Noire is no longer a PlayStation 3 exclusive.
- Persona 4 to hit North America before 2008 ends. Persona for PSP and PlayStation 3 in the works.
- Rock Band 2 is in the works with new game modes.
- 3D Castlevania for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 is in the works.
- Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle to be very limited. Pre-order while you can.

We are excited about these rumors for the most part.

The ne wissue also reviewed the one and only Grand Theft Auto IV, giving it all perfect scores, besides one (A+, A+, A). Regarding which version of the game is the right to buy, they said "360 for DLC, PS3 version looks slightly more vibrant and sharp". I guess those reports are true then.

Update: IGN has contacted 2K Games on the Bioshock for PlayStation 3 rumor and they responded with a "No Comment." That usually means they have something to hide.

Persona 4: Four New Famitsu Scans

This weeks issue of Famitsu featured some new images of the upcoming PS2 game, Persona 4. The scans show some new and interesting pictures, but we have no idea what the words mean, so you'll have to deal with looks. Enjoy! [Akayuki]

Persona 4: Famitsu DVD Trailer

The scans were not enough, we feel you. The Famitsu magazine that showed us the first scans also came bundled with a DVD with a 17 minute long video of Persona 4 for the PlayStation 2, showing some anime, some gameplay, and more. It's truly worth the watch. Enjoy!

Persona 4 Announced for PlayStation 2

I was hoping to see the next Persona title arrive on the PlayStation 3, but that doesn't seem to be the case. The latest issue of Famitsu magazine revealed Persona 4. The official website is launching on March 24, 2008. The site can be accessed here (http://p4.atlusnet.jp), but currently does not work. Here is a breakdown of the information we have thanks to Akayuki.

- Trailer on DVD.
- July 10th release.
- 85% Complete.
- Looks like Persona 3 but better.
- 180+ Personas.
- Hashino is directing, Soejima is art director and character designer, Meguro is composing.
- Takes place in the countryside, a more nostalgic environment.
- The theme is murder mystery/suspense, it’s a mystery thriller with twists and turns.
- Multiple endings.
- 1.5x the size of Persona 3.
- 60-70 hours.
- There is a weather forecast system, and whenever there is a fog, a murder occurs.

Persona 4 Coming to..... the PS2!?

According to a confusing news story just made on Jeux France, Atlus has just announced that it's next Persona title, Persona 4, will be arriving on, not the PLAYSTATION 3, but the PS2.

Hopefully, this is some sort of mix-up. It would be ashame to see the next title in such a great series on a last generation system.
