Prince of Persia IV: Speed Art Trailer

Ben Mattes, producer for Prince of Persia IV gives us an exclusive first look on the game. The game has an all new look and story, and in the video we see the character art with a quick rush through, showing our Prince. The fact that they do it in about 20 minutes amazes me. They say more is to come in the coming months. Enjoy!

Prince of Persia IV Scans Are Cell-Shaded

Some new magazine scans have appeared on French gaming site, Pro-Gamers, of the just announced Prince of Persia title.. The new scans show Prince of Persia coming to next-generation in a cell-shaded new look. Will it hold up to it's successors? Hit the link for the scans.

Ubisoft Announces New Prince of Persia Title

Ubisoft has announced a new Prince of Persia game today. The announcement didn't come with a name for the game, so we will call it the fourth in the series.

According to the release, the game will be “a new chapter in the Prince of Persia universe, featuring a new breed of gameplay” and will “rejuvenate the action-adventure genre in addition to introducing a brand-new illustrative art style.” View the press release below. [VG247]

Prince of Persia Site Features Oozing Black Goo

Ubisoft's official Prince of Persia site is now displaying a flash animation of glowing blue glyphs that are slowly engulfed by a mass of oozing black goo. We are hoping to finally see a next-generation version of the series, and this may just be it.

PSM 3's April 2008 "The Insider" Rumors

The latest issue of PSM3's rumor section has some interesting rumors from 'the man who knows too much'.

- In-game XMB will be coming, but not for a few more months.
- He says to except a big announcement involveing Home, including information the the trophies/accomplishments that everyone has been wanting.
- A sequel to a popular Xbox 360 title will be received soon, making it's first appearance on PlayStation 3 (before Xbox 360), and states it's not Lost Planet. Perhaps Dead Rising 2?
- He suggests that the big announcements of 2008 will for the most part not come in the form of games but in the form of PlayStation Store surprises, firmware, and PlayStation Network functionality.
- Ubisoft are to make some big announcements during their Ubi Days even this May in Paris. His tips include Alive, Assassins Creed 2, and Prince of Persia.

All these rumors sound great. Knowing Capcom though, I do not think that PlayStation 3 sequel to the Xbox 360 game will be Dead Rising 2. Any other suggestions?

Prince of Persia IV: First Leaked Video?

A video that looks like a bad cell-phone recording appeared online today. The video is supposedly from Prince of Persia IV: Ghost of the Past. We have no idea if it is a real video. We will update you when we find out.

New Prince of Persia Appearing in Fiscal Year '08

Ubisoft is apparently working on the next Prince of Persia game. It is suspsected that a new prince will emerge in the next title, which is supposed to released this fiscal year '08 (April 08 to March 09).

Nothing else was mentioned in this release other than they are working on it.

Prince of Persia IV: Screenshots and Information

According to Surfer Girl Reviews, the above are in-game screen shots from the forthcoming Prince of Persia 4/0/Ghosts of the Past, currently in development at Ubisoft Montreal.

The game, scheduled for release in the second half of next year (for PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, and PC), will feature younger prince than previous trilogy saw and will serve as a prequel to those titles and the start to a new trilogy (the second title scheduled to come out in summer 2009 to capitalize on the release of The Sands of Time feature film). Stylistically and gameplay-wise, the game has abandoned the dark edginess of the last two titles in favor a fantastical cross between The Sands of Time, Ico and Zelda.
