Contra 4 Review

Before we start, we received the game in the mail, and we need to review it.

The Contra games have been some of the most addictive shooters of our times, since it's launch in 1987 in our local arcades. That was back when machines were only 5 cents. It's always nice to see our old school times being brought back. Thats exactly what Konami did with Contra 4 for the Nintendo DS. A great way to celebrate their 20th anniversary.

Time Crisis 4 Review

Time Crisis 4 is a game that brings home the arcade action you pay a dollar for per death, so you can stop using your money so constantly. Think about it, are you a Time Crisis fan? How much have you spent playing it in the arcade? Stop the spending and pick the game up itself.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Review

When I heard my doorbell ring the day I received this game, I knew it was going to be a great day. Upon receiving Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare from Infinity Ward, I loaded it up into my PLAYSTATION 3 and started getting into the action.

Yakuza: Kenzan! New Gameplay Videos

Jeux France posted up some new Yakuza: Kenzan! gameplay videos today, which look really good. As you know, SEGA's Yakuza: Kenzan! is releasing in Japan on March 6, 2008 exclusively for the PLAYSTATION 3.

Twisted Metal: Head-On: Extra Twisted Edition (PS2) Revealed

David Jaffe hit us up with an update today on the PlayStation.Blog today about what he's currently doing, and revealed the upcoming PS2 title, Twisted Metal: Head-On: Extra Twisted Edition. This game is not going to be "just another port" as Jaffe explains. He said the upcoming PS2 title is going to include much more than the original PSP version. So to prove it, watch the video above, with new updated graphics and such.

Street Fighter IV Information Coming Thursday

Nex-Gen.biz was chatting with Chris Kramer, a Capcom represenative earlier today, and asked how Street Fighter IV was coming along. He told them it's coming along great. When they asked him what the game is going to look like, he responded.

"You'll find out Thursday," said Capcom's Chris Kramer.

So it looks like Thursday won't just treat us with a PLAYSTATION Store update, and some new information on Street Fighter IV.

Assassin's Creed: Ubisoft Doesn't Know The Problem

If you don't know by know, the PLAYSTATION 3 version of Assassin's Creed contains many glitches. One of these glitches is the in-air freeze. Altair jumps from a building and freezes in mid-air. You can move the camera around, but no matter what, everything stays still.

The way to beat this glitch? Reboot your PLAYSTATION 3 and hope it doesn't happen again. But of course, that isn't good enough.

Popular Mechanics spoke with Michael Beadle, Ubisoft’s senior public-relations manager. He explains that Ubisoft doesn't exactly know what the problem is, but they are trying to find it and continue to work on a patch. So there you go, when we find more information on the patch, we will update you.

SEGA Superstars Tennis: New Screenshots

NCSoft Bringing Aion to the PLAYSTATION 3

If you've never heard of Aion: Tower of Eternity, it's an online game that was revealed sometime ago by NCSoft. Earlier this year at E3 2007, Sony revealed an exclusive deal with NCSoft, to bring Massively Multiplayer Online games to the PLAYSTATION 3. Today, the first game was revealed, and it's Aion: Tower of Eternity.

Jack Tretton & The PLAYSTATION 3 Comeback

Jack Tretton of Sony Computer Entertainment America sat down with MSNBC for an interview discussing Sony's strategy for the PLAYSTATION 3 for 2008. Jack describes the PLAYSTATION 3's first year as "the first inning of a nine-inning baseball game ... You're not going to win many baseball games if you panic when you're down 1-0 in the first inning." He talks of how the price cut boosted sales greatly, the upcoming exclusives, and other stuff we already know.

Tretton says the system is designed to last a decade, and by then, everyone will love what the console has to offer.

He ends it speaking about the arrogance that has been said about them on the internet, saying that they aren't arrogant. He says that bloggers and press started the idea, so it stuck with people.
