Motorstorm Patch Version 3.1 Is Released

The latest update for Motorstorm was released today, being patch 3.1.

You now have the ability to either use a 2D grid screen for vehicle selection, or a 3D vehicle screen. The 2D screen saves on load time.

The host of a Motorstorm game can also choose mirrored tracks which reverses the entire geometry set of the tracks. Where you went left you will now go right. It takes getting used too.

They've also added a proximity meter in the game, and also works in the eliminator mode. Two new music tracks were added as well, being Devils Crossing’ by Elite Force and ‘Beat The Devil’ by Jiffster (Featuring Bard).

First In-Game LEGO Batman Screenshots

Warner Bros. Interactive has released the first three in-game screenshots of their upcoming movie adaption LEGO game, LEGO Batman: The Videogame. The game is coming out at the end of 2008 for all systems.

Hot Shots Golf 5: Three New Screenshots

Following Sony's announcement of Hot Shots Golf 5 arriving to the US shores this March 2008, they've released three new screenshots as well. These new screenshots show the elegance of the game, with some new style.

Hot Shots Golf 5 tore up the Japanese chart when it was released in Japan. Sporting attractive graphics, great gameplay, and cute characters, why wouldn't it?

It seems that the game will finally be hitting the United States this upcoming March 2008. A demo will probably be on the store soon before that as Japan had one.

Capcom has yesterday released some new images of the PLAYSTATION 3 version of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. As you may already know, the PLAYSTATION 3 version includes all the expansion packs as well as some extra features. Enjoy.

PixelJunk Monsters Joins PSP Remote Play Titles

PixelJunk Monsters, Q-Game's upcoming PLAYSTATION Network game (already released in Japan), is going to join the line-up of titles for the PLAYSTATION 3 that support remote play.

According to Q-Games' Dylan Cuthbert, it is one of the best titles on Remote Play due to the game playing at low bandwidth. "We also support PSP remote play and it is probably one of the first games that supports this really well - ie. it is totally playable through your PSP, even at low bandwidths."

It's good to see you'll be able to play more games on the go. This is one that interests me as well. I might just give it a download upon it's release.

Howard Stringer: PLAYSTATION Network Overhaul

Head Honcho/CEO of Sony, Howard Stringer, has spoke at a recent speech to investors in Tokyo, Japan. He spoke of upgrading the PLAYSTATION Network and increase the connectivity between the console and other devices.

He stated that a network overhaul will be open to third-party developers and is launching on April 1, 2008. April is in Spring, which is also PLAYSTATION Home's release. Stringer states that the PLAYSTATION 3's network overhaul "puts us in the direct line of Apple and Microsoft".

Could this be PLAYSTATION Home coming, or could Sony be redoing the whole system? Meaning, game invites, gamerscore, and such? Only time will tell.

Famitsu Scores Gran Turismo 5 Prologue 39/40

Famitsu, the biggest of all gaming magazines in Japan, has let out their review for Sony Computer Entertainment's upcoming Gran Turismo 5 Prologue today.

The score? 39/40 with a 10,10,10 and 9. Famitsu also scored Forza Motorsport 2 36/40 and PGR4 33/40. Whats pretty sad about this is that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is only a demo of whats to come.

Uncharted Calls Spanish Readers "Huge Nerds"

If your in Spain and playing some of Naughty Dog's Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, then maybe you've come across this tomb. It reads "Si usted está leyendo esta piedra sepulcral usted es un nerd enorme. Consiga por favor una vida y consiga una novia." That translates to the below.

"If you are reading this grave, you're a huge nerd. Please get a life and a girlfriend."

It's not that nice, but a good find to whoever found it.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Not Shipping With Online Mode

The official site for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue has been recently updated. The site's new information reveals there will be 37 cars and 5 tracks (with 2 versions of each) and the course list is now Daytona, Fuji, Suzuka, London and the Eiger mountain track from Gran Turismo HD Concept.

However, the site also reveals that the game will not be shipping with online. The online will be available as a free download come Christmas day. The online features will have additional online-only events, time trials and ranking boards, plus the ability to download ghosts and view car dealer histories.

Afrika Gets Music Composer

For those of you thinking that Sony Computer Entertainment's upcoming wildlife game, Afrika, was gone, then fear not!

Thanks to 1UP, we've confirmed that Wataru Hokoyama, a Los Angeles-based composer who hasn't worked in the video game universe before, has recently hired a 104-piece orchestra to start laying down the symphonies to accompany Afrika.

Hopefully, it's not just a picture shooter, and more adventure is involved.

Original Warhawk Coming to the PLAYSTATION Network?

A new ESRB rating went up today for Incognito Entertainment's Warhawk. I know what your thinking "Warhawk? Thats already been released!".

Well, this Warhawk is for the PLAYSTATION 3 and PSP. Could this mean this upcoming Thursday could grace us with the PSone Classic we knew and loved?

January 2008 EGM Reveals Street Fighter 4 Info

The latest EGM Monthly reveals some new information about Street Fighter IV, along with a few rumors. The rumors in the latest issue are below.

- Bizzare is working on a new James Bond game.
- EA Chicago was working on a Guitar Hero inspired action game before their let down.
- An exclusive Front Mission is going to the Xbox 360, but an exclusive Square Enix sequel is making it's way to the PLAYSTATION 3.
- Need for Speed is going to fluctuate between realistic and arcade styles.
- THG is is making an action game based on the Warhammer toy line.
- Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles Crystal Bearers "appears to be in trouble".

The magazine then goes to reveal it's information about Capcom's upcoming and highly anticipated Street Fighter IV.

- Yoshinori Ono is producing. He produced Street Fighter Alpha, Street Fighter III.
- He wants it to be the second coming of Street Fighter II.
- Online fighting is planned with potential for microtransactions such as new characters and stages.
- Gameplay staying at 2D, with 3D elements.
- The game runs at 60 frames per second.
- The camera doesn't budge.
- They are trying to put in as many Street Fighter II characters as possible.
- The game takes place after Street Fighter II Turbo and before Street Fighter III.
- The controls are traditional.
- The game is more agressive based on attacking and defending.
- The producer hasn't decided on the game platforms or if there is going to be an arcade version. The one tested was running on a PC.
- Ono suggests Capcom could make a PS2 or Nintendo DS version if "they deem the market suitable".
- Ono does not want to make it exclusive. He wants it on as many platforms as possible.

The magazine also reveals some information on the upcoming LEGO Batman: The Video Game.

- A ton of Batman's enemies escape from Arkham.
- You can play through the entire story as villains such as Catwoman, Killer Croc, Scarecrow, Joker, Harley Quinn, and Penguin.

They also revealed that Tecmo Bowl is coming to the PLAYSTATION 3 and Xbox 360 with a Summer 2008 release.

Heavenly Sword Creators Working on Exciting New Title

Ninja Theory, the people that brought you PLAYSTATION 3's Heavenly Sword, are currently stirring up an exciting new project.

The developers posted a message on the Ninja Theory forums saying they are moving on with their next project. Unfortunately, they cannot say much about it at the moment, but they say they are working on something "pretty amazing".

We currently don't know what game they are working on, but it could most likely be a Heavenly Sword sequel, since they mentioned it was going to be a three game trilogy.

2 Days to Vegas Coming Christmas 2008

The official project page for upcoming action game, 2 Days to Vegas, was updated recently with a new date for the games release.

The Steel Monkeys project page now states the game's release as Christmas 2008.
