Konami Wants to Know If Japan Wants the PS3

This weekend was the Games Festa in Japan where there are no enormous company booths, just walls covered in demo kiosks, so it's pretty easy to get a game going.

The Konami booth had a trailer for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots running, and asked the people of Japan to fill out a questionnaire to receive a Metal Gear book.

The questionnaire had questions like "How old are you?", "What is your gender?", but then there was question 2:

This is a question for those who do not own the PLAYSTATION 3. Do you have plans to purchase it? Why is that?

Is Konami trying to get people to buy a PLAYSTATION 3? Or just testing of it's popularity?
