onAXIS: Site Enhanced

You may have noticed I've been working on some edits to the site today. Well, I've basically changed three main things, so let me break it down for you.

For one, the banner has changed with a new font on the title. The KILLZONE 2 character has changed to the protagonist of Final Fantasy Versus XIII sporting a nice Christmas hat for the holiday season.

Next, we have the new navigation bar. Thanks to this new navigation, you'll have easy access to our reviews, scans, and screenshots, and current features. We are just trying to make everything more convenient for the user. Over time, the navigation bar will grow to include more than you see at the moment.

Last, we have the new featured articles section. Before we had one featuring only our PLAYSTATION Network article, but we've changed it up so that it will probably change every few days showing the hottest two articles within that time period.

We also made some changes to the reviews page as well, making it easier to find your title in alphabetical order.

We really appreciate feedback here, so drop a comment and tell us what you think of the changes we've made.

Rockman 20th Anniversary Site Shows Countdown

The official Rockman (Megaman) 20th Anniversary website displays a countdown timer on the right of the page, with just about 8 hours remaining.

Although, at the time we have no idea what this countdown leads up to, but we will be sure to keep you updated. I may have my hopes high, but it would be great see Megaman Legends 3.

Update: Well, the timer ended, and it doesn't seem to be nothing special. We really can't tell what it is, possibly a page to receive some free stuff.

Saints Row Still In The Works for PLAYSTATION 3?

Despite news a while back of Saints Row on the PLAYSTATION 3 being canned, my local GameStop shows different.

On the top shelf, where the store displays its upcoming games, next to HAZE, Army of Two, and those type of games, I saw something we all thought was gone, Saints Row.

When I first saw it, I thought it was Saints Row 2, but upon taking it down, I found it to be the first title in the series.

I asked the manager why it was up there, and he told me "we put up whatever the company sends us." When looking through the reserve book, I didn't find Saints Row. But the shelf was titled "Reserve These Hot Titles Now."

Company error? We've contacted Volition for answers on this situation. We will update you when we find out.

On a side note, this box wasn't on shelves before, it was just put up about a day or two before I visited the store.

First Screenshots of Resident Evil: Degeneration Movie

Sony Pictures and Capcom have recently joined together in a big collaboration to produce the first CGI Resident Evil movie, Resident Evil: Degeneration.

The guys at NeoGAF don't seem to think it's on par with Advent Children, but to me, it looks just the same. Enjoy the screenshots.

Super Stardust HD Update Now Available

Members of PS3Forums are reporting that if you own Super Stardust HD, and delete it and re-download it, you get the new revamped version. According to the post, the new version includes the following.

- Custom soundtrack.
- In-game store featuring single player and multiplayer expansions coming soon.
And gameplay tweaks such as the below.
- New controls guide when beginning a new game. It shows everything you can do, previously you had to check the in-game menus or just discover the controls yourself.
- The grid around the planet spreads in front of your eyes instead of being there already.
- The grid disappears between each phase to reveal the planet.
- The player ship has a yellow trace, I think it was reddish before.
- I believe some sound effects are slightly different now, but I'm not too sure.
- All enemies that fired purple balls fire now purple balls with a short trail.
- Tthe game itself require half as much room as before. It used to require 299 MB and now it's 148 MB.
Currently, it's only confirmed for the European store, so if you have the game, give it a [re] download.
