Battlestations Developer Interested in PlayStation 3

Atilla Soross, the Senor Developer over at Eidos Hungary, stated in an interview that although the Battlestations series have only appeared on the Xbox 360 and PC, that the developer isn't ruling out bringing the series to the PlayStation 3.

"We are certainly interested in PS3 as major current-gen platform, but at this point I cannot reveal more about our plans with the brand," explained Soross.

He offered some insight of what the series could lead into in the future, saying: "... the team has several ideas about the settings of future Battlestations games and the modern era is one of them. However, currently we are focusing on realizing the potential in Battlestations: Pacific."

You never know, we could hear about a Battlestations: Pacific announced for PlayStation 3 sooner or later.

Grand Theft Auto IV Features: Saturday Appointments & Slow-Mo Driving

MTV Multiplayer has revealed two new features for Grand Theft Auto IV. Those features are "Days of the Week" and "Slow-Mo Driving".

The Days of the Week feature basically means Grand Theft Auto IV has it's days of the week (unconfirmed if seven). All we know so far is that it has Thursdays and Saturdays. No seasons or months, although.

A RockStar PR explained that in a mission titled "The Final Interview", Niko Bellic has to assassinate a lawyer. You apply for the job from one of the game's internet cafes, and your called into an interview only on Saturday. Any other day of the week, Niko cannot access this.

The other feature is Slow-Mo Driving, meaning you can drive slowly in the game even while driving fast. The game will borrow from Max Payne and Burnout and let you ride the whip in slow-motion. We have no idea why this feature was added, but any new feature is a good one.

1942: Joint Strike: New Capcom Downloadable Title

Capcom yesterday announced 1942: Joint Strike, which is a vertical arcade shooter. Gameplay is in 2D, utilizing a 3D engine.

It takes place during a World War II like era, meaning the locales, vehicles, and weapons have the feel of that particular war. However, the world in which this game takes place is not our own world.

The game will feature classic arcade style gameplay, new Joint Strike attacks, 2-player local or online missions, and of course, it is a top down vertical shooter.

SEGA released the first three screenshots of their upcoming Edge of Reality developed super-hero title, The Incredible Hulk. The screenshots are looking marvelous, and I cannot wait to see some gameplay. Enjoy!

Home User-generated Content Is the "Holy Grail" says Home Team

PlayStation Home Creative Director, Ron Festejo says that user-generated content will be the "Holy Grail" for Home. They will include tools to assist us making our own content, and they hope to provide more involving tools as time goes on.

As for moderation for these creations, Festejo spoke. "We've got some moderation tools in there where you can report people, but I think we've got to do this in baby steps - see how people react to the clothing that we give them, and we're working with partners to provide a huge variety, to appeal to different types of people," Festejo said.

First Details on The Incredible Hulk Arrive

The big green guy we know and love as the Hulk is coming to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, PC and DS in the Summer. Thats right, SEGA and developer Edge of Reality are going to release The Incredible Hulk for all the stated consoles. Here are the first details.

Edge of Reality claims that the console version will tear down buildings with their bare hands, use these blown-out structures as access points to previously unreachable areas, and even pick up the chucks of concrete or passing cars to use as weapons. All of this chaos will feed the Hulk's rage, which he'll use to learn powerful new moves, cause more damage and upgrade his existing abilities.

The game will feature key moments from the film as well as characters from the comics and other plotlines. It takes place in New York City playing as Bruce Banner.

The game's graphics are looking amazing. We cannot wait to see some in-game footage of this one.

Unreal Engine 4 Targeting Consoles

The Unreal Engine began as a cutting-edge PC graphics tech, great for PC developers. The future is now though, and now is nex-generation (weird how that works, right?). Unreal Engine 4 will be aimed towards consoles, not the PC, according to Epic boss Tim Sweeny.

"There is a long life ahead for Unreal Engine 3. Version 4 will exclusively target the next console generation, Microsoft's successor for the Xbox 360, Sony's successor for the Playstation 3 - and if Nintendo ships a machine with similar hardware specs, then that also. PCs will follow after that."
Epic seems to have gone crazy with console fever. I guess that just means more good out of it for us.
