Tiberium: New Command & Conquer FPS Revealed In Game Informer

The latest issue of Game Informer reveals that a Command & Conquer FPS game called Tiberium will be coming to PLAYSTATION 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

The new game is featured on the January 2008 issue. The title is said to be set 11 years after the end of the third Tiberium war. You play as Ricardo Vega, a formerly retired GDI field commander.

"The squad-based action first-person-shooter game is described as Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter meets Battlefield meets Rainbow Six Vegas, but instead set in the C&C Universe. You’ll be leading a R.A.I.D (Rapid Assault and Intercept Deployment) around the location of the tower in the Mediterranean Red Zone that NOD defended until it was built. There’s no mentioning of you fighting NOD, but you will be fighting new Scrin infantry (the two given were Shrikes, little knee-high robots with blasters an a self-destruct, and Archons, think Scrin versions of Elites from Halo).

The units that were announced that you could command were standard infantry squads, missile infantry squads, a different version of the Titan, and new Orcas. You’ll still get special powers, like an “Orbital Slug” that you can call upon to strike down your enemies."

Unreal Tournament III PLAYSTATION 3 PC Mods Not Available Yet

It seems that the PC Modifications for Unreal Tournament III aren't working at the moment on the PLAYSTATION 3. In addition, the URL provided at the bottom of the "My Content" page does not work it is a dead link.

Josh Adams chimed in on the situation on the official Epic Forums.

"Hmm, sorry about the dead page. I'll get that looked into.

However, the PS3 mod tools aren't quite ready yet. We are working through some final legal/release issues.

When it's ready, you will need to download the latest PC patch and another PS3 Mod Tools "patch" that adds the full PS3 mod support to the PC version.

You will have to cook your mods for the PS3 specifically. You will also need removable media (memory card, USB drive, etc) to transfer the mod from your PC to your PS3.

We will have the tools ready ASAP!!"
What seems to be odd is I'm pretty sure I remember someone at Epic saying that PC modifications will work on the PLAYSTATION 3 off the bat.

LittleBigPlanet Demo Not Coming 2007

MTV's Stephen Totilo contacted Sony for answers on the expected LittleBigPlanet demo we were supposed to receive before this year ends.

Unofrunately, bad news.

A spokesperson for SCEA told the vaguely menacing Totilo, "I can officially confirm that there won't be a demo this year."

Not much of a surprise, considering the delay of PLAYSTATION Home, HAZE, Half-Life 2: The Orange Box. It was expected.
