Jack Tretton of Sony Computer Entertainment America sat down with MSNBC for an interview discussing Sony's strategy for the PLAYSTATION 3 for 2008. Jack describes the PLAYSTATION 3's first year as "the first inning of a nine-inning baseball game ... You're not going to win many baseball games if you panic when you're down 1-0 in the first inning." He talks of how the price cut boosted sales greatly, the upcoming exclusives, and other stuff we already know.
Tretton says the system is designed to last a decade, and by then, everyone will love what the console has to offer.
He ends it speaking about the arrogance that has been said about them on the internet, saying that they aren't arrogant. He says that bloggers and press started the idea, so it stuck with people.

Kane & Lynch Site Lies About Review Scorese
As if things couldn't get messy enough for Kane & Lynch: Dead Men. The official site is now displaying incorrect review scores as well.
The site shows five stars flash by with a good quote for the GameSpy & Game Informer reviews. When in reality, Game Informer gave the game a 3.5 and GameSpy gave it a 3.
Something has seriously been going on with Eidos over the past few days.

Dark Sector Progress Report
Hayden Tenno is the upcoming hero of D3 Publisher's Dark Sector. He comes with a huge metal arm with a giant ninja star on the tip. That spells blood. His arm wasn't always the cool blade that it is though.
At the beginning of the game, Hayden's arm is just a gooey open wound, but when a guard catches him trying to escape from his abomination, his hand turns to metal. As Hayden discovers his abilities, the metal follows through his body till he is surrounded in metal.
In the demo, the PLAYSTATION 3 version featured some SIXAXIS motion sensing. If you want to throw your implement of death, you use your SIXAXIS controls.
Read more of the progress report at the link below.

Game Informer Wants Sony To Amp Up The Online As Well
Game Informer has a nice little wish list for the year 2008 for Sony Computer Entertainment. It's concerns? The PLAYSTATION Network. Thats right, they feel the same way we do.
They even made a few concept images of what they feel should change as well.
They discuss the main factor of course, XMB in-game, achievements, better store layout, background installing, and more. It's a good read, and everything they said can be put on our wishlist as well.

EA Is Ready For the Storm That Is Activision Blizzard
EA, one of the biggest gaming megacorporations, aquired Bioware/Pandemic Games earlier this year. In an e-mail this morning, they stated they are ready for the newly formed storm that is Activision Blizzard.
In the e-mail, they stated that they are always ready when they have a clearly defined competitor. Their strategy is not changing, and the whole company has been encouraged to think like challengers.
Activision & Vivendi's transaction deal was the biggest deal in gaming history, valued at $18.9 million. Now the newly formed Activision Blizzard is the biggest megacorporation in the gaming industry. With franchises such as Call of Duty, Crash Bandicoot, and Guitar Hero all under one roof, can EA take the challenge?

Uncharted: Drake Can Talk Japanese Too
A new Uncharted: Drake's Fortune commercial recently hit Japanese TV's. The ending of the commercial kind of makes the game sound horrific with his "UNCHAHTED" chant. But then it goes into the nice robotic "PLAYSTATION 3".
