Rock Band Song Creator in the Works?

Rock Band is an extremely fun game to play, trust me, my brother has it and I can't wait to pick one up for myself. The song set for Rock Band is a mass list, with new songs being added to the PLAYSTATION Store for download each week. Wouldn't it be better to put our own music in the game though?

In a new interview with Boston.com, Harmonix's VP of Product Development Greg LoPioccolo was asked if a program to make your own tracks into Rock Band songs would be possible. He answered, "It is conceivable, and would be awesome. We continue to talk about this possibility. I can't commit to such a thing at this point, but would love to tackle it if we could find a way."

This would be no problem to do on the PLAYSTATION 3 due to their allowance of user-created content, but for the Xbox 360 version, it may cause' a problem, as all DLC has to go through to Microsoft.

Sony Revealing 20 New Exclusives This Year?

Alex Rowe of Team ICO Gamers received a hot tip from his friend who works at Sony Computer Entertainment. They were arguing about which of the three consoles will have the best line-up this year. His friend then revealed that Sony has 20+ exclusives lined up that they haven't even revealed yet.

After some begging for information, his friend revealed some of the titles on the way. Project Siren (makers of the Forbidden Siren franchise), Team Saru (creators of the Ape Escape series) and Team ICO are three of the studios who're getting ready to reveal their new projects this year. After some more pushing, he told me that all he knows about Team ICO is that the team is working on two games, both for the PLAYSTATION 3.

It's gonna be one long year.

Crysis Now Playable on a PLAYSTATION 3 with StreamMyGame

A new program for Linux on the PLAYSTATION 3 was released today called StreamMyGame. What does it allow you to do? Play PC games on your PLAYSTATION 3.

The StreamMyGame server is free and works by remotely converting the game’s video and audio into a Game Stream and sending it over your LAN network to a second compute, laptop, or Linux enabled PLAYSTATION 3. Then the PC games can be played on your console without any lag. Somebody called for Crysis?

"Playing the latest PC game on the PS3 is now a reality at HD resolution and fast frame-rates," said Richard Faria CEO. "I have a PS3 in my living room and PC in my office and my two kids both have old PCs in their bedrooms," he said. "Now we can play games anywhere around the home. StreamMyGame's technology networks the power of a main PC so it can be used to play high end games on other PCs, PS3s and Linux devices".

Currently, you can only use StreamMyGame over a LAN network, but it is being expanded to broadband in March this year. Check it out at the link below.
