The recently released in Japan title, Valkyria Chronicles (coming to the US this August 2008) features some familiar characters. Skies of Arcadia's Vyse the Bold and Aika appear in the game. They are playable as well, so expect to see them when this game hits our shores.

God of War III to Feature Online Play?

On SCEA's website there is a new job listing for an "Online Gameplay Programmer" for the team behind "the critically acclaimed AAA titles God of War and God of War II." Last I checked, nothing was announced from this studio besides the obvious God of War III. Will Kratos be heading to the online world?

Grand Theft Auto IV: PS3 Steinway Garden Drunk Glitch

onAXIS reader StallinNoLie e-mailed us this video of a glitch he encountered on the PlayStation 3 version of Grand Theft Auto IV. The video, while contains crappy quality but still fully shows the glitch, shows a drunk at the Steinway Beer Garden disappearing upon a turn of the camera angle. Hopefully Rockstar will address minor glitches such as these as well as bigger ones such as "Freezing" (3 times already Rockstar!).

LittleBigPlanet X-Play Kyle Shubel Interview

X-Play's Morgan spoke with Kyle Shubel about Media Molecule's upcoming LittleBigPlanet for PlayStation 3. They say they will have challenging physical environments rather than have the game be really easy. As you know, this game is all about creativity, however you don't start with all the tools to make these levels. As you play the game, you can unlock textures and buildings and such. They say the game is coming September to October, but they want to get a beta out in the summer. Enjoy the watch!

Grand Theft Auto IV: PS3 vs. Xbox 360 Pop-In Comparison

The comparisons keep on coming. A new comparison for Grand Theft Auto IV on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 focus on the pop-ins, meaning the things that come into focus as you get closer rather than already be there when you are farther. By the looks of the trees in the helicopter ride, the Xbox 360 version has more pop-ins (pretty sure that is a bad thing) .

Grand Theft Auto IV for PS3 Having Online Problems

It seems that Rockstar's newly released Grand Theft Auto IV for the PlayStation 3 is having online problems. Whenever you try to go into an online match through the in-game cell-phone, it will tell you "Cannot connect to game provider, please try again later."

I'm pretty upset as I was just trying to get on hoping this would be a sick joke, but alas it was not. Hopefully Rockstar will get the game back up soon.

Rockstar Support: Grand Theft Auto IV Freeze Problems

Some of you may have been experiencing problems with the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 versions of Grand Theft Auto IV, freezing problems.

Rockstar was contacted, and the representative stated that 60GB launch PlayStation 3's seem to be the ones having the problem. Only some of them, however. He states the Xbox 360 is having the "exact same problem", and they are trying to figure out a solution. He said they are not sure when the fix is coming and apoligized once again "I feel terrible about this." If only EA was this concerned about their customers.

Fatal Inertia EX Coming to PlayStation Network Next Month

Once ment to be a PlayStation 3 launch title, then switched over to the Xbox 360 as a really bad game, and now an upcoming revamped PlayStation Network download. The new game, titled Fatal Inertia EX will arrive on the Network in late May for a mere $29.99. KOEI does not intend to release the game on Blu-Ray disc however.

“After the launch of the Xbox 360 version, we had a unique situation that allowed us to reflect on what could be done with the PlayStation 3 version,” said lead producer Mike Bond in an e-mail interview with Multiplayer. “But having watched the growth of the PlayStation Network’s user base and the game’s multiplayer component, we felt the strength of this game would be in its online community.”

Fatal Inertia EX will come with many new featuers and gameplay tweaks.

“We’ve experienced quite a few growing pains over the last 3 years, as a team and as a studio,” said Bond. “Back in the summer of ’05, we were a very young, very small team assigned with the challenge of developing a next-generation game for a completely new platform.”

Grand Theft Auto IV In-Game TV on PlayStation 3 Features Full-Screen Option

One major difference between the Grand Theft Auto IV PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions is the in-game television. Rockstar has done nice to make each version almost exactly the same, but this difference is very noticable.

The PlayStation 3 version features a full-screen option for when you are watching the in-game TV while the Xbox 360 version does not.

They are having an exclusive contenst for the launch called the "Grand Theft Auto IV 100% Club Contest". Whoever does that will have this achievment “commemorated by being awarded a coveted key to the city”. We think it's impossible, but hey.

Does OXM Editor know Star Ocean 4 is only for PlayStation 3?

The Official Xbox Magazine has posted an exclusive interview with Hiroshi Ogawa, director for Infinite Undiscovery. During the end of the interview, OXM asked him what tri-Ace game he "really likes."

"OXM: Infinite Undiscovery aside – what tri-Ace game is your favorite? What RPGs, outside of tri-Ace’s, did you really like?

Ogawa: Star Ocean 4 [tri-Ace’s upcoming PS3 RPG] is my number one recommendation (laughs)."
Does this OXM Editor know something that we do not? Before anybody gets excited, lets hear some confirmation Square.
