The weekly sales for the consoles have just came in via VGChartz. Finally, the PLAYSTATION 3 outsells the Xbox 360. Yes, the PLAYSTATION 3 sold 448,491 units while the Xbox 360 sold 337,322 units.
Then of course, the Wii topped them both by selling 962,683. Guess we can't all be winners.

PAIN's Next Character: Ninja Hung Lo
Jason Coker, on the development team for PAIN, posted on the official blog today about a new character coming to PAIN. This new character is a Ninja named Hung Lo.
Able to smack into tall buildings, take out Grannies, gracefully Ooch off crates and plenty more in a single launch, Hung Lo will be the next available addition to our PAIN family.
Thats not all though, the PAIN team is also working on a pirate character as well. There is still more. The team is also working on an all new single player mode. They put together a single player mode of Fun With Explosives. It’s complete with a Freestyle mode for practicing, the classic Normal, Hard, and PAINful difficulties, and it has its own Leaderboard
It's all coming soon.

Fallout 3 Boxart Surfaces on Amazon
The boxart for one of the most anticipated games to hit the PLAYSTATION 3 (as all of Bethesda Softworks' titles are) has just surfaced on Amazon.
The game is Fallout 3, and the box is amazing. There is something about the PLAYSTATION 3 boxes that makes you want it, isn't there.

Closest Thing to Gears on PS3: Shoulder View Invasion
If you've been wanting to experience a bit of the action that came with Gears of War and own Unreal Tournament III on the PLAYSTATION 3, then we've got some good news for you.
With Mark Rein mentioning the tool to convert mods to the PLAYSTATION 3 is coming next week, we will soon be able to mod out our copies of the game.
Two mods have really come across my eye as great modifications. One being a mod called Invasion. This mod is a multiplayer mode were you must stop the swarms of invading creatures/aliens. Remind you of anything?
The second mod is called Action Cam. In this mod, you get the shoulder view that you would see in games like Gears of War. I'll see if I can contact the creator to see if he could add some kind of cover system to the Action Cam.
Combine these two mods and what do you have? Gears of War on the PLAYSTATION 3. Want it? Request the creators to convert these mods next week.

Cory Barlog Welcomes Back, Mentions God of War III
In a welcome back post from Cory Barlog on his official blog, he mentions the upcoming title by SCE Studios Santa Monica, God of War III. He writes.
"I know for the God of War fans out there it might be a bummer that I am not working on God of War 3 (or for some it may be a good thing I am not) but rest assured that it is all in good hands."I ask as a fan and news reporter: Can we please get an official announcement with some screenshots? Please?
It's coming, it's coming. Just be patient.

Official PlayStation Magaizine UK Reviews Burnout Paradise
The Official PlayStation Magazine of the United Kingdom has reviewed Electronic Arts and Criterion's upcoming title, Burnout Paradise.
We will get straight to the point, the scan we obtained is way to small to tell what the magazine thought of the title, but we can see the big number at the bottom.
What did this title get from the Official PlayStation Magazine of the United Kingdom? A 9 out of 10 for Criterion's Burnout Paradise.
Burnout Paradise will be out in stores late January 2008.

Something Out of Nothing: Grand Theft Auto IV Map?
A user on GameTrailers recently saw the "Move Up, Ladies" trailer for Rockstar's upcoming Grand Theft Auto IV title. One interesting thing he noticed was the map in the boat, so he thought it might be the map of the game. Me myself? I think it could be possible, but I doubt the map looks like that. Watch for yourself. Enjoy!

Tomb Raider Anniversary Developer Likes the PLAYSTATION Network: More Flexible Than Live
Crystal Dynamic's Riler cooper has told GamesIndustry that the PLAYSTATION Network should offer more flexibility than Xbox Live for delivering future titles. As you know, they just released Tomb Raider Anniversary on the Xbox Live Arcade.
Cooper, lead designer on Tomb Raider Anniversary, believes that the PLAYSTATION Network could prove to be the better service for developers looking to bypass retail and deliver full games to users, as it doesn't have as many constraints as Microsoft's service.
"I'm very, very interested in digital distribution and the potential it has," said Cooper, speaking during GDC Lyon last month. "PLAYSTATION Network is extremely interesting because it's a more flexible space."
"We made an in-road with Anniversary on 360, and it was a full game essentially, but Microsoft is only slowly increasing requirements and opening up the constraints of Xbox Live. It's been a slow process, whereas PSN hasn't been restricted by size, they've just done Warhawk for example."
Perhaps sooner or later, we will see Tomb Raider Anniversary pop up on the PLAYSTATION Store.
