Within the depths of GameStop comes the tragic stories of bad salesmen working there. Today, we have another one of those stories.
BobTheFork of NeoGAF went to GameStop to pick up a new copy of Steambot Chronicles for the PS2 that he had seen on the wall one day. He bought the game, and head home to play it on his PLAYSTATION 3.
He didn't really look at the disc much when he put it in his PLAYSTATION 3, because if you look at the picture to the left, it looks just like a normal PS2 game, no? Well he put the disc in the PLAYSTATION 3, and played it for about an hour. He reached a save point finally, but when attempting to save his game progress, the game told him he could not save during the demo and must purchase the full copy.
Upon looking closely at the disc and tilting it to the light, it clearly reads "Not for Resale, Demo Disc". GameStop strikes again! Not only did he purchase it new, but it must have been the last copy, and the seller grabbed the wrong disc. That is why nobody likes the whole "we need to open one game for display" policy. Just get a box.
