Sony Testing Out New PLAYSTATION Network Site?
Some of the members of NeoGAF have discovered whats probably a new official PLAYSTATION Network site. The images you see on the left and right are from the Home and Main pages of the site. The link is [http://www.us.playstation.com/PSN/default.aspx] but it seems they've taken it offline for the time being. When we get an update, we will let you know. Oh yeah, the member states the site makes a reference to in-game XMB. GDC is right around the corner people.

Edit: For those who want to view the page, which now directs to the PLAYSTATION Home GDC 2007 video, you can view Google's cached page here and here is the Home page.

FIFA Street 3 In Real Life
A new commercial for FIFA Street 3 shows no gameplay whatsoever, just some real life street play. My opinion: these kids really know how to play soccer. Just give the video a watch, you'll be amazed. Now, where is my soccer ball?

The Agency: Cross-Platform Play Not So Likely
The Agency is coming out on the PLAYSTATION 3 and the PC, but it will probably sell more on the PLAYSTATION 3 side. It seems as although, The Agency will probably not have PS3-PC cross-platform play as gamers anticiptated.
They that players on the PC may an advantage when playing against a PLAYSTATION 3 player. Sony Online Entertainment's CEO, John Smedley, affirms this, saying, "Would the mouse player have a unique advantage? Would we have to make the auto-aiming system on the console a lot better to compensate for that? That would take some of the skill element away on the console."
You will still be able to log in to the PC with your PLAYSTATION 3 character though. They are still trying out cross-platform play, but its not looking to good.

Grand Theft Auto IV PS3 Pre-Orders Beating 360's 2 to 1?
An article appeared today stating that the pre-orders for the PLAYSTATION 3 version of Grand Theft Auto IV are outnumbering the pre-orders of the Xbox 360's 2 to 1.
"It seems that GTA fever is hitting the PS3 world a heck of a lot stronger than Microsoft’s bulky console, with pre-orders at one particular store placing the PS3 iteration ahead by a factor of exactly 2 to 1.Whether this is true or not is unsure, so as for now, we will treat it as a rumor.
With launch a mere 76 days away, its little surprise that gamers are getting their names down to be assured of a copy of the latest in Rockstar’s sublime series come launch day. Pretty safe to say it’s going to be a popular one really.
Want to hear some actual figures to back up these claims? Well, so far pre-orders for the PS3 stand at a huge 2, while the Xbox 360 languishes at a pitiful single unit.
Oh come on, it’s a bit of bloody humour so don’t start getting abusive or anything. It IS true however that the PS3 version has indeed been enquired about a little more than the 360 version. And pre-order figures are exactly double, so that provocative headline is quite true. Love you all in advance. "

Just Cause 2 to Feature No Multiplayer
Peter Johansson, the lead designer for Avalanche's upcoming Just Cause 2, has revealed that the game will launch with no multiplayer. They want to focus on offering the best single-player experience possible. They will think about adding the ability to play with friends in the future.
"It would have been simple to just jump onto the multiplayer bandwagon, but in the end we decided on designing Just Cause 2 with the focus of delivering the best single-player free roaming experience," Johansson told Play.tm.
"It's likely that Just Cause will have multiplayer in the future but only when we believe we can deliver something truly new and exciting to the multiplayer community while retaining all the core values of the game."
The game takes place in a big world with tons of activities, so the game isn't so non-linear. I wouldn't worry about never getting multiplayer at all.

EA Would Love to Bring Spore to the PLAYSTATION 3 and Xbox 360
Spore producer Thomas Vu stated today that EA would love to bring Will Wright's upcoming Spore to the PLAYSTATION 3 and Xbox 360.
"There's lots of technical hurdles we have to think about before we can say, 'Okay, we can do this or not'. But we're always looking at and thinking about these issues", Vu said earlier this week when asked whether it's the company's intention to bring the title to the two platforms.
"Spore is huge and we know there's an audience" he added when he was asked more about a PLAYSTATION 3 and Xbox 360 verison. "Yeah, of course we'd love to do it, but at the same time we don't know".
So far the PC, Mac, Wii and DS will be getting all the Spore love. You never know though.

Grand Theft Auto and Grand Theft Auto II Hitting the PSN?
The latest issue of the UK Official PLAYSTATION Magazine says that if we are waiting for Grand Theft Auto IV, we will have a bit something to calm us down (thank god!). Apparently, the game that started it all and the sequel that continued it all, Grand Theft Auto and Grand Theft Auto II, will be hitting the PLAYSTATION Network soon as downloadable PSone Classics. We already know about Street Fighter Alpha, of course.
