Home Beta Survey Shows Signs of Home Square Revamp

An onAXIS reader who choses to remain anonymous has tipped us about a new survey those in the Home beta are receiving by e-mail. Along with things such as "How important is innovation in Home?" and "How important is different shopping areas ins Home?", the main focus is on the Home Central Plaza.

One of the questions asked if you could choose what you wanted the Square to look like, what would it be, from the choices in the image to the left (A-J). If it were me, I'd definitely choose selection D.

Something else to note is that when taking the survey it asks if you are in the Home Beta, Home Development Team, or an SCEA Employee. It looks like they are branching out to see what everyone thinks.

Race Driver: GRID to Beat GT5 Prologue to the Finish?

At Play.com Live 2008, Codemasters made available a playable version of their upcoming racer, Race Driver: GRID. The title is expected to feature GTR racecars, American muscle cars, and Japanese drift machines. Codemasters wants to take it in a different direction than other racing games go.

“This is not a game about collecting cars or spending all of your time in the front-end tuning suspension settings or designing liveries. We want to make racing exciting again,” exclaims Ralph Fulton, Chief Game Designer.

The game sounds like it could possibly give Gran Turismo 5 (& Prologue) a run for it's money. The game will feature tracks in America, Europe, and Japan. The game will feature traffic on the streets with Japanese drifting as well. It is slated for a mid-2008 release.

European PlayStation Forum PlayStation Network Integration Postponed till April

The big PlayStation Network integration that was supposed to occur today has been postponed until April. They write "Although the technical aspect of PSN Authentication is working fine, a little more TLC is needed in terms of the look and feel, and we just need some additional time to get everything ship-shape and ready for your arrival."

April is the month of the big PlayStation Network overhaul. Signs anyone?

BAJA Announced for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360

THQ has announced today the development of their upcoming off-road racing title, BAJA. The game is scheduled for an August 2008 release.

Developed by 2XL Games (formed by the founding members of the MX vs. ATV franchise), BAJA will combine real-world racing with arcade fun with players able to race across more than 100 square miles of tough off-road terrain.

"As the long-standing off-road racing leader, THQ is thrilled to bring something completely new to the off-road racing genre," said Richard Browne, vice president of product development, THQ. "With the level of detail in each vehicle, the vast open vistas and the most realistic off-road physics to date, BAJA will provide an unparalleled racing experience."

More than 40 vehicles across eight classes will be available to race, including Trophy Trucks, 4x4s and buggies, all of which will be upgradeable with hundreds of authentic parts.

Race modes will include the near-vertical Hill Climb, head-to-head Open Class races, circuit races and the Baja, the ultimate endurance challenge. So vast is the game's landscape that races can last up to four hours and require the highest level of concentration and player skill to complete.

Multiplayer modes will also be catered for, with four-player split-screen and 12-player online/LAN supported. Those with the kit to make it happen will also be able to enjoy a multiple-screen panoramic view.

BAJA is scheduled for release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in August.

· There will be a 3-4 minute video showing a three men party fighting at a plain region.
· The battle scene camera will make you get motion sickness according to the original poster.
· The final design of Final Fantasy Versus XIII's antagonist will finally be revealed, apparently he has a long gold or white hair.
Whether this is going to be shown to the public at first or in private viewing, we do not know. But knowing Square Enix, a private showing is probably the case.
