For all those in the Metal Gear Online beta (such as myself), Konami has updated the game today. The new update comes with a new map named Midtown Maelstrom, part of the Middle East stage in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. "This consists of some main streets and alternate routes. Numerous alleys are in between buildings, and are dark, narrow, and very confusing."
A new gametype rule was added as well. This rule is called Sneaking Mission. In this gametype rule, there is one character and two teams in the game. Those are Snake, Red team, and Blue team. Snake has to collect a certain number of dog tags, by having other players stunned or held up. The other two teams have to kill snake a certain amount of times or defeat more players on the opposing team. Snake's mini robo-sidekick Mk. II is available to assist him if there are more than 10 people in the game.
Head to your game client and download that update now.

Sierra Gamers' Day 08: 50 Cent II Trailer
We gotta admit, when we clicked play to view this new 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, trailer we expected to see nothing but crap. To tell the truth however, and we cannot deny this, the trailer looks pretty damn amazing. We have no idea what the game will look like, but the trailer is magnificent. Give it a watch.

Grand Theft Auto IV: X-Play's PlayStation 3 & Xbox 360 Console Battle
On the latest episode of X-Play, Newsweek Technology General Editor, N'Gai Croal and Kotaku Managing Editor Brian Crecente are featured as guests where they discuss the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Grand Theft Auto IV.
Brian Crecente says that he "suspects Sony will be getting their on downloadable content." N'Gai Croal says that Microsoft's paid downloadable content buys them at least "12-18 months of exclusivity on that, but I don't see how Rockstar creates all that content and never brings it to PS3." Watch the video for the full discussion.

Grand Theft Auto IV PS3 Only Running at 630p?
According to some knowledgeable members over at Beyond3D, the Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto IV runs at a 720p resolution (1280x720) while the PlayStation 3 version only runs at 630p (1120x630). As of now, this is unconfirmed, although they still say the PlayStation 3 version still looks better

Update: A new GamesRadar comparison says they've captured the footage in uncompressed 720p. So would that mean that they are both naturally 720p?

Sierra Spring Break 08:
At the Sierra Spring Break 08 in Mallorca last week, Mark Ranel, president of Terminal Reality, says that Ghostbusters on the PlayStation 3 has been held back due to the fact that it is also coming out on the Xbox 360. He says that if the game was PlayStation 3 only, they would have been able to have double the amount of objects on-screen. Check out the mini-interview below with VG247.
[Sierra Spring Break 08: PS3 exclusivity would have allowed double the amount of objects on-screen, says Ghostbusters dev]VG247: Why choose to lead on the PS3?
Mark Randell : Very simple reason: Ghostbusters is the property of Sony Pictures.
VG247: Right. But the game will be coming out on the 360, it’s a simultaneous release. Did Sony insist it was lead?
MR : Personally, I want to show off our PS3 technology. We’re one of the few developers who love the PS3 and have a great time with it. We have great technology for the PS3 and we want to show it off.
VG247: Isn’t it the same for the 360?
MR: We’re running the same game for both platforms but if we made a PS3-only game, for example, you could double the amount of objects on screen that you’re seeing. The PlayStation 3 has seven processors and the 360 only has three, so seven versus three means you can do a lot more on the PS3. We’re keeping the game the same over both platforms so we don’t want to take out any features.
VG247: So is the game scaled down because of the limitations of the 360?
MR : For example, we’ve reserved one whole processor on the PS3 for Dolby Digital 5.1 sound whereas on the 360 you have part of one processor to do that. So we can have a lot better sound mixing and a lot more effects going on at the same time. That kinds of makes us do a little bit less in the game [360] but makes for better audio. If we’re doing a PS3 only game however, we could be doing a lot more. We could be pushing a lot more on the screen.
