North American Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Gets Extra Content

Sony Computer Entertainment has confirmed that the North American version of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will contain some extra content that was not in the Japanese version of the game.

Sadly, Sony hasn't revealed what the extra content is. Of course, it could be a race track, extra cars such as the ones from the Detroit Motor Show or Motor Toon Grand Prix, or even extra game features such as car damage.

When we find out what it is, we will be sure to update you.

GDC 2008: Details on Upcoming Call of Duty 4 "Feature Patch"

Infinity Wards communications manager, Robert Bowling, confirmed some of the upcoming features for the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare PLAYSTATION 3 patch.

- Optimized servers
- New Kill cams (grenades, RPG's, airstrikes, claymores, and more)
- Quick Mute (allows user to mute annoying players by pressing X on their gamertag in the lobby)
- Addition of "Recently Met Players" for the PlayStation Network
- Improvements to the Sniper Rifles and Acog attachments (no more delayed shots)
"(With the new kill cams) you can watch from when the grenade leaves the enemies hand all the way to the explosion that kills you," said Robert Bowling.

PLAYSTATION 3 gamers can also expect servers to run smoother. The four hour "Downloading Game Settings" bug was due to DemonWares servers having to handle the massive amounts of PlayStation 3 users logging in. With the new optimizations, no more problems should occur anymore.

Tales of Vesperia (Possibly Timed) Exclusive for Xbox 360

The latest issue of PLAY Magazine sadly reveals that Namco Bandai's upcoming Tales of Vesperia, which is the first Tales game to be made in HD, will be an Xbox 360 exclusive.

PLAY Magazine, being the PLAYSTATION 3 fanatics that they are, interviewed Yoshito Higuchi on why it was exclusive to the Xbox 360. He stated when they started the project, the Xbox 360 had a more complete development environment. When they asked if they would see Tales of Vesperia ported to the PLAYSTATION 3, Higuchi replied with "Yes, I won’t deny the possibility. But we’re not thinking about it yet-there are so many other things to concentrate on first."

This really gets me angry in a way since I'm a huge fan of the Tales series. They will probably port it to the PLAYSTATION 3 when sales don't go so well in Japan.

Over at G4TV's X-Play, they were lucky enough to get a hands on with Codemasters' upcoming Legendary. In this title, your a hired art thief who accidentally opens up Pandora's box. That unleashes all the mythical creatures that society thought was fake. The game really looks interesting. X-Play also got a hands on with LucasArts' upcoming Fracture, which was on their GDC 2008 special. The game is really looking fantastic and I really want to try it out myself. The terrain deformation is looking really good along with the textures in the game. Give the videos a watch!

Codemasters Speak on Overlord for PLAYSTATION 3

Yesterday, we reported that a dutch gaming site supposedly confirmed Overlord will be coming to the PLAYSTATION 3. Today, Codemasters speaks on what the Dutch website supposedly confirmed.

When VideoGamer contacted them, a spokesperson for Codemasters said: "After the release of the Overlord: Raising Hell expansion pack on Xbox Live Marketplace last week, there's been a definite increase in interest surrounding the dark adventures of the minion master. However, although we won't comment on rumour and speculation, I can certainly confirm that you haven't seen the last of the Overlord just yet."

Sounds a lot like a tease to me. Keep your fingers crossed though, because it sounds a whole lot possible to me.
