Rumor: Rockstar to Go PLAYSTATION 3 Exclusive After GTA IV?

The Februaray 2008 issue of PLAY Magazine features Afro Samurai and Grand Theft Auto IV. Tucked away within the Grand Theft Auto IV preview was this: "The game is both PS3 and 360, but Rockstar has suggested that all further game development is going to be PS3 exclusive."

Whether this is true or not, we don't know. Perhaps they are just going to make the PLAYSTATION 3 lead-platform or perhaps Sony just payed Rockstar a crap-load of money.

This news is a bit strange considering Rockstar blamed the delay of GTAIV on the PS3's difficult programming architecture.

Although very few seem to recall that they made similar claims of issues with developing GTAIV for the 360 due to the lack of HDDs attached to every system. Apparently the game will require some HDD space in order to reduce load times (ala DMC4).

Then again, having Rockstar all to ourselves wouldn't be a bad thing either. Especially if it means getting GTAVI exclusively.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but if Rockstar is owned by Take-Two then isnt it Take-Two that decides what platforms to make the games on?
