For those in Europe, BBFC has passed Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots with a '15' age rating, avoiding the '18' age rating mark. The BBFC has also revealed on it's site that the game has a 'total running time' of 545m 47s, which translates to 9hrs 5mins 47secs.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is due out on Friday June 12, 2008 in Europe and the US.

Each MGS has been longer than the last, MGS3 could easily last the player 20 hours on the first play through and I don't remember the BBFC ever timing a play through before.
9 hours only? Sorry its a rent now only. When I also recall that some cutscenes are half an hour long, that makes the gameplay part of it even less.
They could be talking about only cutscenes. I recall some error happening like that before.
xbandaidx = troll. You're thick if you think this game is 9 hours long.
Apparently it's the length of the video Kojima Productions submitted demonstrating all aspects of the game. This is how they judge the rating. If you've been listening to the KP Podcasts you'd have heard a bit about it.
