While IGN was at the Tokyo Game Show 2007, they ran into Irem's tiny booth. Bumpy Trot 2 (Steambot Chronicles 2) was being shown in trailer form. They described it like this:
The trailer begins with an evening scene of a town. As a church bell rings, and a light snowfall begins, we're shown a boy seated on the sidewalk. He's in tattered clothes and braces himself from the cold. Beagles (that's the name the game uses for its mechs) and other vehicles crawl by on the street in front of him. The boy at first appears to be homeless, but he's actually there to shine shoes for cash. Meanwhile, across the street, we see a girl, who appears to be a bit more well-off than the boy, handing out fliers.Certainly sounds like a great trailer. Hopefully soon, we can get an upload on GameTrailers or something.
As a vocal track begins to play in the background, the scene switches to daytime, and we see the same boy and girl in a Beagle. They head off through the nearby fields, with a friend following behind in a Beagle of his own. They stop, and a large profile pic of the girl appears on the screen, along with three choices; apparently, the game is letting you select a response.
Next, we're given a look at a battle scene. The two Beagles coordinate to defeat a giant enemy vessel that's walking through the canals nearby. Our hero and heroine use an old trick from the first game, picking up a giant bolder and tossing it at the foe. All this resembles one of the earlier boss confrontations in the original Steambot Chronciles.
The scene switches back to town. Dozens of people are gathered in a pub as a lady sings on stage. There seems to be a celebration going on. Outside, the three Beagle riders are sitting around, chatting amongst themselves, when what appears to be a new foe enters the scene. They board their Beagles and head out to battle.
