GameSpy recently did an interview with Ben Ward, The Club's community & web lead. They start:
GameSpy: What things have you learned from developing titles such as PGR and Geometry Wars that we can expect to see in The Club?
Ward: Well obviously these two titles have given us the benefit of experience -- both in terms of game design and technical ability. For example, Project Gotham Racing is well-known for its detailed graphics and environments, so we've taken a similar approach to creating the levels for The Club. In fact, the two games have often shared artists and graphics coders at various points during development.Read the full interview at the link below.
Geometry Wars has obviously been a huge success with the tight-knit Xbox Live Arcade community, and we've learned loads about encouraging and supporting global high-score efforts. It's incredibly important for a game to be built to encourage replayability and to have a strong community built around it -- Geometry Wars has taught us bundles about both of these things and we're going to apply this to The Club in spades.
