Give it a few months and you'll start seeing the prices come down.

And why 16GB? They skipped a lot in the middle there that could be cheaper.

The BIG question is will the PSP (both versions) work with the new memory stick?

I don't see myself spending $300 when I could get a few 2GB sticks for about $30 bucks a piece and just deal with switching them out if I need to. I only have a 1GB stick with tons of music, photos, and a few demos and I still have over 300MB left.

I plan to invest in a 4GB some day but right now there's not much reason to carry around my PSPhat.

Now if I decide to trade it in for PSP Slim and start using Skype then I may find a need to carry around more hence have more media to keep me busy while I'm on the go.
