Capcom Responds to PLAYSTATION 3 Devil May Cry 4 Load Times

On the official Capcom blog, they've posted a new message regarding the installation of data onto your PLAYSTATION 3 upon entering your copy of Devil May Cry 4 into that sleek slot. And yes, it will take about 25 minutes to do so.

While you let it install, you'll watch some screens appear that tells you all about the Devil May Cry 4 back story. Think of it as a blast from all three games in 25 minutes. If you don't want to watch it, then go make a sandwich. Don't want to play on an empty stomach, do you?

They say that once installed, the PLAYSTATION 3 version of the game has near-Super Nintendo speed load times, and that you will be amazed how fast the levels load.

It's great for them to try to calm us and all, but all I know is I want my 5GB. It should be optional.

[Sigh. DMC4 “load times” on PS3. DO NOT PANIC!]

I want my speedy loadtimes, so thankyou Capcom.

If they can achieve the same loadtimes in the future with background installation and/or more streaming, great.

lol i don't know why ppl are making a big fuss about this. it's 5gb for crying out loud. delete some old demos, delete music, delete some vids. not that hard. i don't even know how ppl fill up 60 gb of HD space. are you RLY gonna keep ur ps3 on and listen to that much music? do you RLY need to have a ton of vids on ur ps3? do you RLY need to have old (and some crappy) demos sitting on ur HD? no big deal. i installed a command and conquest on my pc a lil while ago.. took like 30 min for 6gb. this is not unordinary at all.. hard drives are just slow, so until solid-state flash hard drives are made available to the public, we have to deal with it.
