Home Open Beta in Japan on March 24, 2008?

JonnyRam from the NeoGAF forums who is considerd a somewhat reliable Japanese news source has revealed that the Home Open Beta will start on March 24, 2008 in Japan.

He posted in the forums saying “Home open beta starts 24 March in Japan. Sorry if old.”

That March 20th countdown could however be the countdown to a worldwide open beta. Who knows? Sony does.

The site is a fake, that countdown site. Doing a domain lookup, you find that it's owned by some guy living in Sweden who runs his own little hosting company as well.

Second, if Home was really going to do whatever on this day, it'd be running on an official Sony operated server, not some dude from sweden.

What's strange about this is that Home was (more or less) developed in the UK. Not hate on the Japanese market but why would they get the beta any sooner or later than the US?

I can see if this was a Final Fantasy beta or something but...

Either way they need to work out all the bugs before the doors open up to more users.

Home's not quite there yet but it's getting better.
