Here is yet another comparison for Grand Theft Auto IV, this time comparing load times. It seems, according to the video and some commenters of the video who have "confirmed" it, that the PlayStation 3 has two more loading images than the Xbox 360 does, which is bad. You'd think the mandatory 3.5GB install would of made it faster. Guess not, if the video is to be believed of course.

Grand Theft Auto IV Load Times: So This Is What It Comes To

what about in game load times?
there are none. who could give a shit if it takes 10 more seconds for the best game to load up. it looks better on ps3 anyway kid.
If the video posters ps3 HD needs to be defraged or the user's customized ps3 HD reads slower that could effect load times.
Actually there are 2-3 second in-game load times in both GTA4 versions. I have them both. Far as now though, that video is pretty much accurate.
However there's also the issue of texture re-draw rates and pop-in. I've seen some video of the 360 version where an entire garden didn't come into view until the car was in the middle of what is supposed to be a fully garden of flowers but is just a texture map of grass.
The car drives into the texture map, stops for a few seconds and THEN the flowers pop in all around the car.
Also, it's not like the guy on the 360 got very far into the game before the PS3 kicked in.
Not to troll but you can't dismiss the fact that there's a chance the 360 could RRoD while you're waiting for the game to load. I'll take an extra 10-15 seconds over a dead console.
Those videos were pre-alpha running off the HDD.
