It's amazing they haven't sacrificed texture quality to achieve everything else. The ground, walls, nearly everything appear to look great close up.
The original Halo blew me away with that and Stranger's Wrath had some nice detail textures too. Killzone 2 is the closest I've seen to what I was expecting this generation.
WOW. WOW. And WOW.
I'm blown away. Everything looks and moves great. I'm also glad to see that even though it's not 60fps like CoD4, it still moves with great fluidity and I love how enemies react to shots.
My favorite part: when you get helped up the wall and then help your buddy up. That was freaking amazing lookig. Really looks like you're playing a character that exists in the game rather than a pair of arms and a gun. The fact that you can see your character's shadow (noticed it when he picked up the assualt rifle on the ground) says that you're playing with a fully developed character.
Why they have to wait until February is beyond me but (hopefully) we'll have Resistance 2 to give us our FPS fix.
