To Cheap to Buy a DUALSHOCK 3 Controller?
If your too cheap to buy a completely new DUALSHOCK 3 controller just to feel some rumble in your game, then there is always this option.
PEGA's Vibrating Bag snaps on to your controller and brings rumble into your hands. Thats at the cost of some new bulkness to your controller.
Another downside of this product is you need to plug in this other piece to your PLAYSTATION 3 and it has a huge antenna sticking out of it. It comes with a built in radio too though, for some strange reason.
So if your really that cheap, go ahead and take a chance.

SIXAXIS Trigger Modification Equals Easier Pushing
The December 2007 issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine of the United Kingdom were giving away real triggers for your SIXAXIS/DUALSHOCK 3 controller from Gioteck. “Non-Slip Trigger Enhancement for the PS3″, is the catch phrase written on the tiny package.
The triggers are shaped as a trigger should be, with the indent in the middle, rather than at the bottom, meaning it's easier to use. A tester of these on Killzone Unit says they work very well.
Currently, these aren't available for purchase, but keep your eye on Gioteck for their availability.

Pelican PLAYSTATION 3 Controller Glows Brightly
Pelican is going to release AfterGlow controllers on the PLAYSTATION 3. These controllers certainly light up the room.
Considering the fact that the controller is named AfterGlow, you probably know it's biggest feature, the glow. The LEDs that shine through the controller's plastic are just plain cool. They come in four colors, which are white, blue, red, and green. The controller also features a dedicated home button, which a lot of third party controllers lack.
This controller is launching late this month, with pricing at $19.99. Sadly, it's wired.

Wal-Mart Goes Stupid: SIXAXIS Controllers for the Xbox 360
The guys over at Sarcastic Gamer were at their local Wal-Mart the other night to pick up some medicine when they passed by a display that caught their attention.
Yeah, thats right, what your seeing in that picture is an Xbox 360 display with SIXAXIS controllers in the slots. It's bound to happen that some misguided parent is going to pop by looking for Xbox 360 controllers and pick up a SIXAXIS instead. At least the controllers will sell though.
Today's lesson: don't ask Wal-Mart employees about anything video game related.

Get a Logitech Precision Controller for $10 at Amazon
We know we know, there must be a catch to this deal, and well, there is. The controller really costs $29.99 (which isn't bad), but comes with a $20.00 mail in rebate which you must submit by the end of January.
So if you need a controller and don't want to spend $40.00 on one, get this Logitech Precision Controller for $29.99 and get your $20.00 later. Even without that rebate, I'd say it's still a pretty good deal.

Lavalamp PLAYSTATION 3 Controller Is Psychedelic
The Lava Glow PLAYSTATION 3 Wireless controller is filled with glowing liquid, but maintains all functionality of a regular PS3 controller, sporting the latest 2.4 GHz technology. They come in blue and red.
Pretty funky if you ask me, don't worry, it won't burn up in your hand while your playing, only if your on fire.

TGS 2007: Rumble Confirmed!
IGN reports: "Big shocker at today's Electronic Arts pre Tokyo Game Show press event. While playing a demo of Burnout Paradise, we felt something that we never thought we'd feel from a PS3 controller -- shake!
That's right, Burnout Paradise is the first rumble-equipped PS3 game we've ever played. Which made us think at the time, if the game is making the controller shake, the controller must be a new version of the Sixaxis!
In fact, the controller we were using to play the demo looked exactly like a standard Sixaxis, except that it had a sticker on the bottom that said "RUMBLE." It also felt notably heavier than the standard Sixaxis."
Wow, this is just great, we finally get the rumbling controller.

Gamer.Blorge Learns of Rumbling SIXAXIS
Gamer.Blorge learned some new information today. After a lengthy conversation with an important industry insider, they discovered Sony's real plans for the next iteration of the PlayStation 3 controller.
"As usual, the insider can't be named, but, according to her, she witnessed a set of test controllers used at her very important game development company. When I say "very important game development company", I'm talking about super major huge, like Nintendo huge but obviously not Nintendo. She wouldn't mention if she had a chance to get her hands on one, but she knows for a fact that they rumble and are heavier, although not as heavy as an Xbox 360 controller."
Sounds like it's matching up with all the other rumors on the rumbling SIXAXIS, perhaps a Dual Shock 3.

Rumor: Rumble SIXAXIS at TGS 07
There has been so many rumors that look like it's starting to confirm it's existance.
Speaking to an insider, Pro-G has learned that Sony is now supporting rumble for its SIXAXIS controller as revealed in the latest System Development Kit (SDK) sent to developers on Thursday. For those of you unfamiliar with the term, SDKs are essentially packages of tools given to programmers enabling them to develop applications for a specific platform, in this case, Sony's PlayStation 3.
Guess we will have to wait till the show, no?

Rumor: Dual Shock 3 to be released in October?
According to the latest issue of Japan's Dengeki PlayStation magazine, the Dual Shock 3 rumble ready controller is almost ready for release. The Dual Shock 3 will be compatible with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.
And looking at the image above, taken from Sony's official Japanese GT5 site, it seems clear that the new controller will become available in Japan at the same time as GT5 Prologue itself: this October. Which is little over two months away.
