To join with the handful of unannounced updates we've been receiving constantly, Namco Bandai's Time Crisis 4 received one today as well.
The update is 18MB in size, the same as the Heavenly Sword update we've received earlier this month. Think they are planning something? Think not. It probably just added rumble to the SIXAXIS controller when you use it to play.

Oh Em Gee: Guncon 3 To Be Available Seperatly
According to a post the other day, there currently are no extra Guncon 3's for Time Crisis 4 available in stores to have some two player fun with.
So if your gun breaks, or if you want to play with your friend, then what are you going to do? Well Ripten called up Namco Bandai to find out the story.
"We do not sell replacement Guncon 3's. If the Guncon 3 is defective, then we can provide an RMA exchange where we’ll inspect and repair or replace your Guncon 3."
What about split-screen multiplayer?
But wait! Look! The Guncon 3 will be available online on December 20, 2007 thanks to Ripten's Brian spotting it on PlayAsia. So calm down, and pre-order your guns. When the family comes over for Christmas, you show them how to play. You can play the split-screen with one Guncon 3 and a controller. If you wish to play two players using two Guncon 3s then you will need another copy of Time Crisis 4.
Is there anything else I can help you with?

Time Crisis 4: No Extra Guncon 3s
The thing is, for games that come with peripherals, people always want more. For reasons of there own, which mostly include playing with friends, family, etcetera.
The situation occurs in Time Crisis 4. So far, Namco Bandai hasn't announced any sort of extra Guncon 3's for the title, so multiplayer is going to be you and your friend on the SIXAXIS.
An online store would be a good idea, not even having to package it, just throw it in with some bubble wrap and ship. This was a good idea proposed by Opposable Thumbs, but will it happen?

Time Crisis 4: "Say Hello to My Lil' Friend"
A new add for Time Crisis 4 has surfaced on GameTrailers featuring the Cuban guy we all know and love, Scarface. Well, some Japanese dude is playing him at least. The trailer is actually pretty funny, so do yourself a favor and give it a watch.

Namco Bandai: "We are Looking for Other Publishers to Make Titles for Guncon 3"
In a new interview with Namco Bandai Time Crisis 4 producer Teruaki Minami, they talk about the game, along with the Guncon 3.
Some interesting Guncon 3 related information is brought up after they ask Minami his thoughts on Japan PLAYSTATION 3 marketing.
He ensures that the market is still growing and that they plan to release new titles for the PLAYSTATION 3 using the Guncon 3. He also mentions that:
"By the way, currently we are looking for other publishers to make titles for Guncon 3. I know that the number of titles which work with Guncon 3 is not enough for consumers, and we definitely need more titles that work with Guncon 3. As you can see, we only have Time Crisis 4!"That means more PLAYSTATION 3 exclusive titles are on their way. You never know what could be the next system seller, right?

Time Crisis 4: Setup Screenshots
We just received Time Crisis 4 in the mail the other day and are having a blast with it. I don't understand why it received so many bad reviews, it's just like the arcade, which already had my quarters flying out of my pockets.
With Time Crisis 4 for the PLAYSTATION 3 comes a set-up as well. You need to place motion sensors on your TV screen as well in order to tell where the gun is. Take a look for yourself at the link below.
Be sure to read our Time Crisis 4 review upon the opening of the new site, which should be happening anyday now.

Time Crisis 4: FPS & Airport Gameplay
One of the unique features of the exclusive PLAYSTATION 3 console version of Time Crisis 4 is that you don't have to insert quarters. That and the new FPS mode, where YOU move freely, not the computer. But if your more old fashioned, Namco Bandai still has the classic campaign gameplay, like in the Airport video below. Enjoy.

PS.Blog: Creating the Guncon 3
Today, I would like to discuss our development process in creating Time Crisis 4 and the Guncon 3 controller. Four years have passed since I first came up with the framework of Time Crisis 4. In the autumn of 2003, after the completion of the PS2 version of Time Crisis 3, our development team started to examine what our next big step for the series should be. After kicking around some ideas, we decided to work on a new concept in which the player has full control over their on-screen actions, moving independently through the stage and shooting at enemies with an entirely new Guncon.
In most traditional arcade shooting games such as the previous installments of Time Crisis, players don’t have full control over their movement. Instead, the camera movements are directed precisely by the developer, while enemies show up quickly on the screen. This allows the player to focus on one specific action – shooting. As the basic premise for this type of game has broad appeal and is instantly engaging, we’ll continue to make these games in the future, but wanted to investigate a new path for Time Crisis 4.

Time Crisis 4: Free Movement
If you've ever played Time Crisis 3 or such at the arcades, you'd know you move on a pre-determined path, no free movement. Well in Time Crisis 4 that changes. The two videos we have are called "Fighting Atop the Dam" and "Gunplay in the Halls". Happy viewing.

TGS 2007: Eternal Sonata Officially Official
Sure there have already been news posts confirming Eternal Sonata from Famitsu, but we never heard it from the big guns behind the operation.
IGN received a comment directly from its parent company across the Pacific. That confirmation came today. Eternal Sonata will be appearing at Bandai Namco's Tokyo Game Show booth next week, the company announced today through its Tokyo Game Show special site. The game will be shown in video-only form. A Japanese release is planned for some time in 2008.
Other PlayStation 3 games planned for the show include playable Time Crisis 4 and video trailers for Nobi Nobi Boy and Soul Calibur 4.
