SOCOM: Confrontation Arriving on September 16, 2008

Seems like we are going to have to wait a bit longer than we thought till we get our hands on SOCOM: Confrontation. The game is officially hitting Stores on September 16, 2008.

To celebrate, Sony Computer Entertainment will be launching SOCOM.com tomorrow. It is a site devoted to the game with regular updates, news, and a community for fans.

Sigh, why do all the good games have to be so far away?

Wow. They may want to rethink that release date and maybe push it up to like July or early (very early) August.

With LBP and Killzone 2 coming that same month it's going to be tough for the average consumer to be able to afford all those games (unless we take our "Bush Money" and spend it on games... me, I plan on saving as much of it as I can).

And they shouldn't push it back because while everyone's playing Killzone 2 online they'll be waiting for 60 player battles with Resistance. So SOCOM doesn't really fit well anywhere in there unless Resistance comes out early and they push SOCOM to mid-December for the Christmas rush.

are you kidding me? socom, far cry2, little big planet, killzone 2, resistance 2 in the same range of time? this year gonna be phenomenal.
but is it prudent to release all these AAA games at the same time?
