I went to visit Matt (upcoming site writer) yesterday who now has a job at GameStop and I was taking a look through the release book, and noticed Motorstorm: Pacific Rift.
There you have it. Better than Pacifica.

An Insomniac Games employee has confirmed on the NeoGAF message boards that a Resistance 2 demo will be playable at Sony's upcoming PlayStation Day 2008. The event is press-only, however, but we know the game will still somehow get leaked out of there.

This year's list of developers who will be attending E3 2008 has been revealed today. Square Enix will be attending as they do every year.We are hoping to see some new footage or possibly even gameplay on Final Fantasy XIII and Versus XIII. The last time we've seen the games of the Fabula Nova Crystallis compilation outside Japan was back in E3 2006. John Yamamoto, CEO of Square Enix of North America and Europe, wants a worldwide release, so it is quite possible to see the games at the show. Lets just hope.

Dengeki Online recently had a polling asking Japanese gamers what games they would like to have remade. The results are below. I wonder what came in first.
1. Final Fantasy VII (PSone) (Square Enix)Oh, duh.
Not surprising that mostly every game here is from Square Enix, and all of them (minus 3 games) are on the PSone. I mean, come on people, we are talking about Japan. Square should get to work on that Final Fantasy VII remake (please, won't you?), after that a Persona remake from Atlus wouldn't hurt at all either, or perhaps Persona 2. Hmm.2. Xenogears (PSone) (Square Enix)
3. Seiken Densetsu 3 (Super Famicom) (Square Enix)
4. Romancing SaGa 3 (Super Famicom) (Square Enix)
5. Tactics Ogre (PSone) (Atlus)
6. Megami Ibunroku Perusona (PSone) (Atlus)
7. Final Fantasy IX (PSone) (Square Enix)
8. Romancing SaGa 2 (Super Famicom) (Square Enix)
9. Saga Frontier (PSone) (Square Enix)
10. Wild Arms 2 (PSone) (SCEA)

Ten years ago, Sony Computer Entertainment launched the first DualShock controller for the PSone, featuring a D-Pad on the left, along with two analog sticks, and the traditional PlayStation buttons. Other controllers were released as well for other systems such as the Nintendo64. None of them could match up to the DualShock.
Today, we have the DualShock 3, which can be considered one of the best gaming controllers to ever have been created. So today, we will honor it and wish it a Happy 10th Anniversary, or Birthday if you wish. Now, we are going to play with our DualShock 3's, if you'll excuse us.

Looks like the demo will not just be coming to the EU PlayStation Network, but the US as well. The next PlayStation Store update, we will be receiving a demo for Codemasters' upcoming Race Driver: GRID on the PlayStation Network.
"The demo has 3 events to compete in. The eBay Motors Muscle Cup sees you taking the wheel of a ford Mustang GT-R and the streets of San Francisco, the Advan International Trophy hands you a Nissan S15 Silvia and your playground is Yokohama Docks, and the Euro Touring Car Series provides some old-school tin-top thrills with a BMW 320si touring car and the sweeping curves and hairpins of Jarama."
We are looking forward to it.

Steven Spielberg is currently working on a game titled Boom Blox for the Nintendo Wii. The game has Wii-specific controls, but Electronic Arts mentions that they are thinking about bringing the game to other consoles such as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Amir Rahimi, the game's senior producer tells us.
"There's definitely the potential to go to other consoles. Our mindset, our philosophy was that we didn't want to taint our thinking by taking any other console into account. The way we saw it we wanted to make this the most authentic Wii experience that it could possibly be. So we didn't think about the PC, DS, PS3 or Xbox 360. We're still very much in the mindset of finishing this game. But once it's over the sky's the limit. There's definitely the possibility of going to other consoles."Who knows, Boom Blox could come to our system in HD.

The United States wants a Final Fantasy VII remake, Japan wants one, and so does the rest of the world. What are the chances of this actually happening though? Let's hear what Square Enix's Yoshinori Kitase, director of the Final Fantasy VII on the PSone we all know and love, has to say about it.
"My feelings are that if a remake were to work well then all the core members of the original team must be reassembled, all the artists and designers. He's said this before. Square Enix loves remakes, you can tell by all the remakes you see on the DS. You can bet this will eventually come. It is the smartest thing they can do.
The problem is that, although all of us have an idea of what a remake should be and how to do it, organising such a thing right now is logistically very difficult. All the different members are now involved in very new, very large projects like Final Fantasy XIII and those projects are going to take a while.
Maybe, when all those games are finished then we can look at doing something like that.
Of course, that said we came up with the idea for Crisis Core in just two days. It was a case of 'this is what we want to do, so let's do it'. So, you can definitely expect the probability of something spontaneous happening at some point, but it's hard to predict."
